Typically the reason for these downtrends has been due to the altcoin market taking off. In this instance, it's because the altcoin market is dumping less than bitcoin and Ethereum. We've never seen anything like this and it's hard to predict exactly what will happen. Based on the 2018 fractal pulling down to the 40s seems possible but we've never seen BTC and ETH break down faster than altcoins.
