Volume Profile Channel + [CE]Volume Profile Channel +
Volume Profile Channel +, Is the first of its kind tool that will plot a volume profile in any directional channel, the tool will calculate a profile and display the following, POC/VAH/VAL.
The typical profile works by on a horizontal access such that ticksize can be calculated along the y axis and data can then be used to generate a profile, the angle of a parallel channel would make this unavailable.
By cleverly using the angle at which the profile is created, a diagonal ticksize is generated and applied to the profile to create a first of its kind parallel channel volume profile tool!
Features include the ability to "anti-alias" the profile as well below will show a comparison of this occurring:
Unsmoothed
Smoothed
Additionally this mode comes with the ability to track the development of the POC AND VAH/VAL overtime:
The advantage of using this is that as opposed to relying datasets of mid points or custom equal values along a parallel channel, users can now use the profile to see where the channel has the most interaction, (POC).
This allows for an objective look into the data as opposed to identifying by "eye" where traders are exchanging hands or vs using values such as the midpoint which may not necessarily always be a point of interest as the POC will be.
The VAH/VAL levels give good opportunity to see reactions at levels we may not previously be able to see in the channel with fixed values, allowing us to take positions in a more dynamic sense.
As you can see in the chart below with the track enabled, you can see clear reaction points when price interacted with these dynamic levels, which may not be identifiable with fixed positions, 0.25,0.5,0.75 etc...

Open DriveOpen Drive is a market profile concept introduced by Jim Dalton. It occurs when the price moves directionally and persistently for the first 30 minutes from the cash market open.
It is necessary to use 30-minute bars as there needs to be enough time to measure an extreme move of the cash open. This means there will be fewer trades than other strategies using faster time periodicities.
The script finds open drives from these time points 0700/ 0800 and 1300/1430.
The entry signal also has a breakout threshold using the 5-bar high and 5-bar low to only take trades moving away from the prior 5-bar range. This weeds out most mid-range trades and small range expansion bars.
If the price has had a strong move from the open and has broken either below the prior 5-bar low or above the prior 5-bar high by an amount equal to the prior 5-bar range a trade is entered in the direction of the move.
The Exit criteria; exit after 3 bars which is 90mins when using a 30min periodicity.
Note, this script is shared to show that momentum generated on or around the cash open tends to persist. The entry and exits of this strategy are quite naive but there are plenty of ways to take more aggressive entries on faster time frames when an open drive occurs. The times chosen for this strategy will suit stock index futures mainly. The user can experiment with other futures products and their corresponding pit/ cash open hours.
Google "open drive market profile" for more information on open drives and market profile concepts.
Happy trading!
Volume profile zonesHi all!
This script calculates and shows the volume profile for the range of a higher timeframe candle. It then shows support or resistance (/supply or demand) zones based on the volume profiles with the most volume. The defaults are just my preferred settings so feel free to play with them! Also feel free to let me know about bugs and features. I already have a list of features to make, e.g.:
base on pivots
more info zone calculations, e.g. breaks and retests, virgin point of control etc.
add alerts
get rid of getPriceLevels()
get rid of _barVolumeProfile prefix
handle realtime
...
Best of trading luck!
[Pt] Periodic Volume ProfileThis script is an attempt to recreate the Periodic Volume Profile that is built-in by TradingView, with slightly different features. Related blog: www.tradingview.com
This script is based on another script "Volume Profile, Pivot Anchored" by @dgtrd
*Note that only limited number Volume Profile can be displayed on the chart due to limitations on displaying boxes and lines.
Description
This Periodic Volume Profile (PVP) indicator allows trades to view volume profiles for periods longer than the current timeframe. The indicator builds one general volume profile for each new period, set by the user through the “Periodic Timeframe” input parameter.
This script also has the option to extend Point of Control (POC) lines with optional end conditions: Until Bar Touch, Until Last Bar, Until Bar Cross, or None, which extends to the right.
Signals are generated for Naked POC touches and crosses by a triangle symbol and a cross symbol, by default.
Alerts are available for POC touches and crosses.
What is Volume Profile?
Volume profile is a technical analysis tool that shows the volume of trades at different prices for a given security or market over a specific period of time.
Volume profile can be used to identify key levels of support and resistance, as well as to assess the overall supply and demand for a security. For example, if there is a high volume of trades at a particular price level, this may indicate that there is a significant level of support or resistance at that price. On the other hand, if there is relatively low volume at a particular price, this may indicate that there is not much interest in trading at that level.
Traders can use volume profile to identify trends, make trading decisions, and set stop-loss and take-profit orders. It can also be useful for identifying patterns such as "pockets of liquidity," which are areas where there is a high volume of trades but relatively little price movement.
It is important to note that volume profile should be used in conjunction with other technical analysis tools and should not be relied upon in isolation. It is also important to consider the overall context and market conditions when interpreting volume profile data.
Key Difference with TradingView's PVP indicator - TradingView's PVP intraday period does not align with standard intraday timeframes as it is determined by # of bars. This script provides volume profiles that aligns with higher timeframe periods.

TwV Multi-timeframe Dynamic VRVPMulti-timeframe Dynamic Visible Range Volume Profile
The volume profile is an indicator that displays trading activity over a specified period and plots a histogram on the chart which reveals dominant and significant price levels based on volume and in essence gives a clear indication of Supply or demand at a certain price rather than volume in a certain period.
What makes this VRVP indicator different from other is that it is multi-timeframe and dynamic, meaning that it has the ability to show the POC for a higher timeframe and that it also recalculates the main POC every single time traders adjust the chart.
Most VRVP need to be adjusted to a fixed position for the Main POC, I made an improvement by giving the indicator the ability to identify the bars that are being look at in the screen, this really gives traders the possibility and agility to identify potential support and resistance areas without the need to be changing any settings on the indicator.
Furthermore, giving the ability to the indicator to be multi-timeframe allows traders not only to work with a point of control in one timeframe, but also have a dashed line plotting the Point of Control of a HIGHER timeframe, which could potentially be a strongest support or resistance. The multi-timeframe point of control is fixed only.
This VRVP is completely similar to the official Trading View paid subscription one.
Fundamentals
Point of Control (POC): The price level for the time period with the highest traded volume. The POC is represented by an amber line within the indicator.
Profile High: The highest reached price level during the specified time period
Profile Low: The lowest reached price level during the specified time period.
Value Area (VA): The range of price levels in which a specified percentage of all volume was traded during the time period. Typically, this percentage is set to 70% however it is up to the trader’s discretion.
Value Area High (VAH): The highest price level within the value area.
Value Area Low (VAL): The lowest price level within the value area.
Usage
The Resistance and Support levels can be provided by the Volume profile using a reactive method so they constantly change with price action and give a clearer picture to predict future price movements. The Reactive method relies on past price movements at certain price levels and applies a more significant understanding of price reaction at certain meaningful levels
Support levels will be areas where price will be supported on the way down.
Resistance levels will be areas that resist price on the way up.
A basic understanding of this is that Buyers will enter the market at the bottom of a profile and sellers will enter the market at the top of the profile.
Configuration
By the default the indicator has enabled plotting the charts timeframe Volume Profile.
Multi-timeframe option needs to be enabled and desired timeframe chosen from selector menu.
Bars back value for fixed calculation of the multi-timeframe point of control.
Traders can adjust default settings as follows:
Charts timeframe VRVP
Main POC color – Yellow
Positive Volume – Green
Negative Volume – Red
VRVP Width – 100 (Refers to the plotting width for better suiting on small screens)
Multi timeframe VRVP
Enable or disable calculations
Bars back - Fixed numbers of bars for calculation (Consider that max bars back limit is 5000, but it considers 5000 bars on the current charts timeframe, therefore traders need to take into consideration converting number of bars in higher timeframe to charts timeframe)
e.g.
Charts timeframe 15m – MTF desired 1H
1H = 60 min 15m = 15 min – 100 bars back equivalent to (60 min * 100) / 15 = 400
Lower than 5000 then calculations takes place, otherwise calculations will be disabled.
Multi-timeframe POC color = Light blue DASHED
Timeframe desired – 1H by default
Summary box
Enable or disable box
Box shows information regarding the exact price where Main POC and MTF POC reside

Market ProfileThis indicator is meant to be used on CME Group futures products.
This indicator is the market profile firstly developed by J. Peter Steidlmayer, and also described in J. Dalton's book Mind Over Markets.
Each period is indicated by a color in the profile and overlayed on price by means of the bars of the same color, and the letter on top of it.
In addition to that, the rotation factor (see Mind over markets book) is indicated inside the 30min bar, under the letter.
It is possible to choose the session between different options. Each option changes the open and the close of the regular trading hours session.
It is possible to see the profile shifted on the left of the session open, or overlayed to the session.
The following plots are visible intraday:
Previous day's settlement price (white circles)
Previous day's Value high (red continuous)
Previous day's Point of control (orange continuous)
Previous day's Value low (green continuous)
Current day's Value high (red dashed)
Current day's Point of control (orange dashed)
Current day's Value low (green dashed)
Current day's value area is also highlighted by the light blue background.

Volume/Market ProfileVolume/Market Profile is a 2 in 1 Volume Profile and Market Profile Indicator.
This indicator is my own calculations for compiling a volume profile and market profile.
The profile is progressively calculated live as the chart develops.
I have made use of both Boxes AND Lines to allow me to display a finer granularity profile by displaying up to twice the max amount of lines allowed in tradingview.
I have spent a lot of time to make sure the values are getting appended exactly as intended so that I can assure this profile is operating as precisely as possible within the limitations of the data available.
To make my calculations easier to use in other places, I have made my volume profile a function that can be extracted and used whenever you need values from a volume profile.
Feel free to read through the script if you don't understand how this profile is developed. I have made a commentary of my volume profile function to help you understand what exactly happens to compile the profiles.
As mentioned before, This indicator doubles as a market profile. To view both at the same time you will need to add the indicator on your chart twice.
I have built in comprehensive customizations to allow you to display your profiles however fits your needs.
Timeframe: The aggregation period for profiles, to see a 1 week profile, change the timeframe to 1 week.
Note: You can add custom timeframes by adding a custom timeframe in your chart timeframe dropdown menu. When you add timeframes in this area, they appear as options within indicators with the timeframe input.
Sensitivity: Allows for greater or less granularity changes. The calculation method for granularity automatically changes depending on the range of your chart.
Note: Multiply this value by 100 and that will be the max range (in ticks) of your price before the indicator automatically adjusts to make the profile less granular. (ex. If price ranges $1, and 1 tick is $0.01, granularity will be 0.01 with a sensitivity of 1+)
Value Area %: % of total volume to display as the value zone. (_% of total profile values are contained within the value zone)
Calculate as Market Profile: Uses a 1 Instead of the candle volume, to display a Market Profile. (If selected POC -> TPOC)
Display Size: Sets the # of bars from the profile axis to the profile's max value. If set negative, profile will be displayed left of axis, if positive, profile will be displayed to the right of the axis.
Display Offset: Sets the # of bars in front(or behind) the current chart bar to set the axis of the profile. If negative, the axis will be to the left of the current chart bar, if positive the axis will be right of the current chart bar.
Display Historical POC/VAH/VAL: Choose to display historical poc, vah, val lines.
Colors: I'm not explaining colors.
Enjoy!

Volume with forceThis indicator shows the classic stock volume chart with a plottable 20 periods SMA line. Along with this, it shows to the top right of the pane a percent, showing the current "volume force".
This force is calculated as the SMA of the last 3 volume candles excluded the current candle (only counts finished candles) and then compare it with the standard 20 periods volume SMA.
Some examples for a better understanding:
A value of 200% means that the SMA of last 3 candles is equals to 2 times of the 20 periods volume SMA
A value of 100% means that the SMA of last 3 candles is equals to the 20 periods volume SMA
A value of 50% means that the SMA of last 3 candles is equals to 1/2 of the 20 periods volume SMA
A value of 25% means that the SMA of last 3 candles is equals to 1/4 of the 20 periods volume SMA
If the value is above 100%, the background will be green, red otherwise. A green value means that the symbol is having a nice volume income.
Customizable settings
Timeframe: the main TF to plot volume and calculate force
MA Length: the length of the standard volume SMA to plot (and to compare for the force calculation)
Diff force length: the length of the last candles (excluded the current candle) to compare with the standard volume SMA
Show moving average: if checked, plots the standard SMA
Show volume force: if checked, shows to the top right the volume force
Sonarlab - Volume ProfileThis Volume Profile is a charting tool that traders use to show the traded volume amount over a given time period. The reason we build this volume profile indicator is to confirm S&D zones and show where the most volume is resting in a specific given time.
Settings

Usage:
Focused on combining with SMC:
When trading SMC, normal volume profiles can be confusing and hard to trade - since it will catch the volume on the overall chart you're on. When trading SMC, we are interested in catching specific parts in a range which defines supply or demand.
What makes this volume profile different?
The Sonarlab Volume Profile is focused on combining with SMC, integrated with Smart Money Concepts (SMC) levels, such as the Swing High and Low levels. The Indicator will automatically find the most applicable position using our custom Swing Levels to provide users with maximum utility with zero effort. Where other volume profiles are more focused on overall volume, this volume profile is focused on volume in a specific range on automation using swing points in the market.
As in this example, the high volume areas are matching with traditional supply and demand zones. The price level with the most volume is highlighted by the "point of control" (POC), displayed by the yellow line. We can consider price will react from those "high volume" areas and trade more easily through "low volume" areas.
VPLineVPLine is a brand-new line indicator which automatically draws historical POC line with volume profile histograms based on user input session and configurations.
A colossal amount of function is deployed on the indicator: historical POC line, historical VA, historical VA high/low, volume profile histograms, volume profile value text (bid/ask/total), threshold function that limits the extension of the POC line based on user input etc.
Volume Profile Interactive RangeVolume Profile Interactive Range (VPIR) is a brand new interactive VP enables you to analyze the market in depth.

Supply, Demand and Equilibrium Zones, Interactive by DGTSupply, Demand and Equilibrium Zones, Interactive
The law of supply and demand is a theory that explains the interaction between the sellers of an asset and the buyers for that asset. The theory defines the relationship between the price of a given asset and the willingness of traders to either buy or sell it. Generally, as price increases, traders are willing to supply more and demand less and vice versa when the price falls.
Simply said, the higher the price, the lower the quantity demanded, and from the seller's perspective, the higher the price, the higher the quantity supplied
Equilibrium zones are the price levels where both selling and buying trading activity is high, both sellers and buyres are interested at that price levels. More correctly, there is a great deal of activity on both the buy and sell side and the market stays at that price level for a great deal of time. Supply and demand are balanced or in equilibrium
Supply and Demand Shifts may occur when institutional investors step in, a change in both price and quantity demanded from one point to another
This experimental study attempts to presend Supply, Demand and Equilibrium Zones by measuring traded volume at all price levels on the market over a specified time period. Then the result is plotted as horizontal zones on the finacial isntrumnet's chart that highlights supply, demand and equilibrium zones at specific price levels
It is important for supply, demand and equilibrium zones to understand that time is always a dimension on charts. The quantity demanded or supplied, found along the horizontal axis, is always measured in traded volume of the asset over a given time interval. Longer or shorter time intervals can influence the levels of supply, demand and equilibrium zones
The study is made interactive, which requires the users to select two points on the chart, by simply clicking on the chart. In case the user would like to view different range then just dragging the vertical lines will be enough
By increasing/decreasing values for supply and demand zones or equilibrium zones, you will either get the zones enlarged or detect supply and demand shifts or other equilibrium zones
It is adviced to use this study in conjuction with a Volume Profile study, such as Volume-Profile-and-Volume-Indicator , Volume-Profile-Custom-Range , Anchored-Volume-Profile , and Price-Action-Support-Resistance , where volume profiles presents trading activities at specific price levels and Supply and Demand Zones can be treated as Value Area (they are not exact same but similar) for Volume Profiles

Volume Profile With Buy & Sell Pressure LabelVOLUME PROFILE WITH BUY AND SELL PRESSURE LABEL
This volume profile indicator shows volume traded for each bar and is colored according to the difference in buy and sell pressure(DMI).
***HOW TO USE***
If the bar and background is colored green, there is more market buying than selling on that bar.
If the bar and background is colored red, there is more market selling than buying on that bar.
If the bar and background is colored blue, there is an equal amount of market buying and selling on that bar.
***BUY/SELL LABEL***
There is also a label on the right side that tells you whether there is more buying or selling on the current bar. This table updates in real time and changes colors so you can get an easy, quick interpretation of the current buy/sell pressure without having to look at the volume bars so you can make faster decisions on whether to enter or exit a trade. The table changes colors in sync with the volume bars and background. Green means more market buying than selling. Red means more market selling than buying. Blue means an equal amount of market buying and selling.

Zeta Volume Profile ProWhat is Volume Profile?
Volume Profile is an advanced order flow analysis which displays volume distribution at various price points over time. It may be called a recent biodata of a stock which is displayed on a chart as a horizontal histogram. Volume Profile can help reveal significant price levels where smart money is sitting.
Why Volume Profile is important?
The life of a Future Contract is of maximum 3 months. All the near month contracts expire on the last Thursday of the respective month. But, the traders who want to continue holding on to their winning positions would likely take the same position in the next series. So they often close the existing position near the expiry and take position in the next series. This activity is termed as Rolling Over the position and mostly it catches strength about 5-6 days before the expiry.
If we start tracking Volume Profile 5-6 days before the monthly expiry, we get to know the levels where maximum concentration of volume is located. In layman terms, we want to see where the biggest crowd is sitting. In this crowd, there will be equal number of buyers and sellers and when either party starts feeling the heat (market goes against them), they try to limit their loss by Buying/Selling and the random walks become a unidirectional march.
Zeta Volume Profile Pro tries to detect this crowd behavior by tracking maximum volume concentration area and when price leaves this area, it generates Buy/Sell Signals.
What is unique about Zeta Volume Profile Pro?
There are other volume profile indicators also in the market but Zeta Volume Profile Pro is unique in following aspects:
1. Whenever last Thursday of any month starts, Zeta Volume Profile Pro resets automatically and starts calculating volume and price levels from 30 bars backwards (default value which the user can change). Assuming we are looking at 30 Min. Time-Frame chart and your Stock Exchange opens for 6 hours a day, the last 30 candles cover 5 days data. If in your time zone, stock exchange remains open for longer hours, you can either increase minimum number of bars to be considered or you may increase your time-frame. The idea is you should cover 5-6 days of data on last Thursday of the month.
2. Once you set the minimum number of bars and time-frame relevant to you, leave everything to Zeta Volume Profile Pro. Now with every passing tick, the volume profile created by Zeta Volume Profile Pro will keep changing and more and more price bars will keep adding to the minimum number of bars set by you till last Wednesday of the current month occurs.
3. On any given day or time, whenever price breaks out of maximum volume concentration area, the indicator generates a Buy/Sell Signal and often such breakouts give handsome returns.
What markets it is suitable for?
It can be used in any time-zone on any stock exchange. However, since the concept is based upon Volume Concentration, it works best on highly liquid stocks, commodities, currency pairs and indices.
It will not give good results if the underlying security is illiquid because volume profile generated will not be efficient one.
Since Future Contracts volume tends to be more than cash segment, it gives much better results on Futures Charts.
Which time frames are best for this indicator?
Choose such time-frame and minimum number of bars which are equivalent to 5-6 trading sessions in your time-zone. In settings, there is an option to set your time-zone.
How to Take Buy/Sell Entry with Zeta Volume Profile Pro?
Whenever you see a Buy Signal appearing on your chart, take Buy Entry and whenever you see a Sell Signal, take Sell side Entry.
Your STOP LOSS would be high or low of candle which occurs just before the Buy/Sell Signal respectively.
Keep moving your STOP LOSS up as the price moves in your favor and when market turns around and you see a SELL signal, it is time to book your BUY position profit and take Entry on SELL Side now and so on.
What are the limitations of this indicator?
Sometimes price takes a break out of maximum volume concentration area and then again comes back which might hit your stop loss. However, as the backtested data shows, having faith in the indicator will give you some so nice breakouts that a single trade will cover your 10 to 20 Stop Loss hits.
