Fibonacci Pivot PointsI have included the main support and resistance pivot point levels for the Fibonacci Pivot Points. I changed the bar colors to reflect buy and sell points so if a bar is green then that means to buy it and if it is red then sell it
Let me know if you would like to see me do any other indicators!
VPTbollfib & Camarilla (Danarilla)I do not own the original indicators. This is just a combination of the two because of their nature to work in a similar way.
Camarilla Pivots run on the basis of intraday range trading. Usually after daily open you look the fade whatever move happened before. by shorting R3/H3 levels or longing R3/L3. Targeting the other side of the range. This is the infamous PivotBoss level calculations and you would want to activate camarilla and turn off the normal pivots. They use the previous days volatility to plot the next days levels.
But what about some confirmation?
Well RafaelIzoni (who made it open source for improvement) threw together this VPTbollfib. It is volume price trend crossing down a fib line using bollinger bands as price envelope. The beauty of this is that It will signal usually counter to current price action based on selling into uptrends or vise versa. Meaning you get signals to counter price. Which is what you might be looking for on range day trade scalps for camarilla. A wick reversal or engulfing + volume based signal is a very happy pairing together. And those signals are usually suitable for the target of the range you are day trading. Hourly time frame works quite well for both. And camarilla should also be on daily settings.
Special Thanks to Nanda (who published the pivotboss indicator AND) Helped to merge the scripts together.
This indicator alone is an entire trade system. Camarilla already is. If you know the rules. it can be used for entries, exits, risk management to trade the range on TREND, COUNTER TREND, and BREAKOUT plays. The bollinger band fibs add confirmation to the trends levels. And the VPT adds a secondary confirmation to take a camarilla trade.
Try it out. I think you will find both the levels on camarilla and the VPT signals quite suprising.
CPR by Anand with PDL/PDH & Breakouts 15/30 minsThis is an enhanced version of CPR by Anand with Configurable previous day high and low and option to configure breakout lines of 15 and 30 mins.
Will be an useful tool for day traders who follows CPR tricks and breakouts.
Pivot Point SupertrendHello All,
There are many types of SuperTrend around. Recently I thought about a Supertrend based on Pivot Points then I wrote "Pivot Point SuperTrend" script. It looks it has better performance on keeping you in the trend more.
The idea is behind this script is finding pivot point, calculating average of them and like in supertrend creating higher/lower bands by ATR. As you can see in the algorithm the script gives weigth to past pivot points, this is done for smoothing it a bit.
As I wrote above it may keep you in the trend more, lets see an example:
As an option the script can show main center line and I realized that when you are in a position, this line can be used as early exit points. (maybe half of the position size)
While using Pivot Points, I added support resistance lines by using Pivot Point, as an option the script can show S/R lines:
And also it can show Pivot Points:
When you changed Pivot Point Period you can see its reaction, in following example PP period is 4 (default value is 2). Smaller PP periods more sensitive trendlines.
Alerts added for Buy/Sell entries and Trend Reversals. (when you set alerts use the option " Once Per Bar Close ")
ENJOY!
Highlight Last Bar of: D | W | M | Hour| H4 | MinutesSimple script highlighting a vertical line on the last bar of the Day/ Week/ Month/ Hour/ H4/ minute etc.
Helps maintain visibility of higher timeframes when on lower timeframes.
Quickly identify end of period levels.
MTF ohlc S/RA very simple idea, a close (or high, low, ohlc4 or open) from a higher Time Frame
will give future Support/Resistance area's
In this example of BTC/USD we see:
- Yearly close 2017 gave Resistance in June 2019
- Yearly close 2018 gave Support in March 2020
We are now pushing to the Resistance of Yearly close 2019...
Since there is a limit for the amount of lines (since it is just too much if everything is plotted)
there are different options:
- 4 different Time Frames, each can be enabled/disabled,
- TF can be chosen,
- source can be changed (close, open, high, low, ohlc4)
- Period can be changed, for example TF Month:
You can choose just to show a particular year, Month,...
You also can choose between which prices you want to see lines,
for example Monthly close, since the beginning till now, but only between $6000 - $8000:
This helps to know the closest S/R around the present price
Other example:
- Lines can be extended to the right, or not
- Labels can be enabled/disabled:
- Linewidth and brightness of the line can be changed, also the style (solid, dashed or dotted line)
Default only 2 very high TF's are enabled (3 Month = one quarter, and 1 Year)
The 3 Month has a dotted line, which helps distinguish the line against the yearly line
- Prices above 1000 are rounded since it seems distracting to see for example 6478,878654,
seems better just to see 6479, prices below 1000 are just seen as intended
Have fun!
Fibonacci Ratios with VolatilityThis script will plot Fibonacci ratios with volatility. The Fibonacci retracement and extensions are plotted in lower time frames up to 15 minutes and therefore, it can be used for intraday only.
SMI Stochastic Momentum Index 2x set per Baiynd -Tom1traderStochastic Momemtum Index - a true strength indix tsi with a moving average signal.
This uses the built in with modifications per Anne-Marie Baiynds recommendations - she uses a SIMPLE MOVING AVERAGE
for the signal (signal length at 4x the short length seems to work best to reflect actual price action support or resistance)
Note: Default settings in this code have been updated to her most recent recommendations that I have seen.
video is entitled "The Most Reliable Technical Indicator I Have Ever Used"
Note: I have not discussed this with Ms . Baiynd this is my interpretation of the vids I have seen.
Anne-Marie Baiynd also in talks / videos refers to the use of short / long of 4/20 and 6/40 and have combined both of them here
This overlays both of them with their respective SMAs- a 4/20 lengths and a 6/40 lengths in darker colors and smallest linewidth.
this gives a perspective on slightly higher time frame action.
USAGE: Generally above and below the black dashed zero line is long or short
KEYS: -Plot position relative to zero black, red overbought, green oversold and the gray lines at .25 -.25
Indicator action often more significant out side of the more "neutral" +.25/-.25 area
and near or above/below the red/green dashed lines.
-Steepness of slopes
Slopes of smi plots relate directly to price action where steeper is more momentum.
- -SMI blue relation to its simple moving average orange and the SMI longer dark blue with moving average purple.
MAJOR FEATURE - The average acts as support or resistance to the SMI and the price unless breaking out.
Price is often pausing or reversing iin finding primary/secondary support or resistance as well at those times.
You Can See and anticipate Where Support or Resistance may be Encountered. (much unlike most indicators)
My standard caveat -use at your own risk. Like anyone else I do not know what the next bar/candle is going to do
and I place all of my trades with a management plan in place for the worst case scenario.
That said enjoy your charting and trading.
This was coded starting with the built-in indicator "SMI Ergontic Oscilator / Indicator". You do this by within the Pine Editor select "New" tab and
choose the indicator that you want the code for. This populates the editor with the code for the built in indicator and you can modify it to suit your
purposes and save it / publish it and etc. Thanks for following this and Keep Smiling!
CBG Key Numbers v6Here is my opening range, key numbers indicator. It takes the Opening Range (5 minutes by default) and then plots the opening range and up to 7 extensions of that range above and below.
It's amazing how the OR is stamped up on the rest of the day's price movements.
2 strategies (at least) are to play the OR range breakout and to fade when price hits an extreme range.
You have total control over how you set up the various lines and colors.
If you start overlaying the trading day with the OR and it's extensions, you will see amazing patterns become clear. For example, the pump and reverse. This is where price pumps right out of the opening and then reverses later in the morning.
I have the opening price set to big circles as this is one of the most important reference points during the day.
Important: For some reason, the 9:30 am time Opening acts differently for equities and futures . For equities, you can set the time values to 0930. But for futures , to capture the Open at 9:30, you have to set the time values to start at 0830. I haven't been able to find a better solution but setting the times manually works. Make sure to set all the time values on the Options screen.
There is one more setting of interest. It is called IB Target Amount. This is a number above and below the opening range that I have observed price to hit whenever there's a breakout. This will allow you to predict a price target on breakouts. For SPY , I have found that price usually breaks out to at least 50 cents. On ES futures , it's 6 dollars. This can help you lock in 10% and 20% when trading options and is a great tool. That's why I have it so prominent in red. You will also see price return to this level during the day and act as support or resistance.
Please disregard the red and green shaded rectangles. They are my own support and resistance zones and TV wouldn't let me hide them from the picture. :-)
I mostly use this on a 5 minute chart but any timeframe will work.
(JS) Multi-Time Frame Pivot Point Detector 2.0So here's an updated version of my automatic Pivot Point detector.
If you don't like having a bunch of Pivots on your chart at once, or having to cycle through various resolutions to see different ones, this is for you!
What does this indicator do? It automatically detects the nearest daily, weekly, and monthly pivot points both above and below the current price and automatically plots them for you. It's really just as simple as that.
You select how far back you want it to plot with the "Pivot Point Look Back Period" option.
I also have transparency options for each type of pivot so its easy to find the opacity you prefer and save it as a default setting.
With "Turn Off Each Pivot Point On All Time Frames" turned on, as an example, if you were to uncheck "S1/R1" then it turns S1/R1 plots off across all 3 pivot resolutions. By default however, I have it set where you can pick and choose each one individually.
I also added the default "VWAP Periodic" script from TradingView in there with it (not in prior version). This works identical to the built in indicator (because it is identical).
Trading algorithms like to target pivot points and liquidity, so I figured they would pair together nicely for active trading.
Midas 6 Anchored VWAP [xdecow]This script plots 6 anchored vwap from the selected bars.
The labels are only to help identify the starting points and can be disabled in the options.
Gann Angles With VolatilityThis script will calculate the intraday levels using Gann angles and volatility principle.
Previous Week high & lowIt indicates the previous week high and low.
When overlaid on the daily chart, it give buy and sell signals (in the understanding you have made a trade setup). Buy when the price crosses the previous week high, sell when it crosses the previous week low.
