Optimized Heikin Ashi Strategy with Buy/Sell Options
Description:
The Optimized Heikin Ashi Strategy is a trend-following strategy designed to capitalize on market trends by utilizing the smoothness of Heikin Ashi candles. This strategy provides flexible options for trading, allowing users to choose between Buy Only (long-only), Sell Only (short-only), or using both in alternating conditions based on the Heikin Ashi candle signals. The strategy works on any market, but it performs especially well in markets where trends are prevalent, such as cryptocurrency or Forex.
This script offers customizable parameters for the backtest period, Heikin Ashi timeframe, stop loss, and take profit levels, allowing traders to optimize the strategy for their preferred markets or assets.
Key Features:
Trade Type Options:
Buy Only: Enter a long position when a green Heikin Ashi candle appears and exit when a red candle appears.
Sell Only: Enter a short position when a red Heikin Ashi candle appears and exit when a green candle appears.
Stop Loss and Take Profit:
Customizable stop loss and take profit percentages allow for flexible risk management.
The default stop loss is set to 2%, and the default take profit is set to 4%, maintaining a favorable risk/reward ratio.
Heikin Ashi Timeframe:
Traders can select the desired timeframe for Heikin Ashi candle calculation (e.g., 4-hour Heikin Ashi candles for a 1-hour chart).
The strategy smooths out price action and reduces noise, providing clearer signals for entry and exit.
Inputs:
Backtest Start Date / End Date: Specify the period for testing the strategy’s performance.
Heikin Ashi Timeframe: Select the timeframe for Heikin Ashi candle generation. A higher timeframe helps smooth the trend, which is beneficial for trading lower timeframes.
Stop Loss (in %) and Take Profit (in %): Enable or disable stop loss and take profit, and adjust the levels based on market conditions.
Trade Type: Choose between Buy Only or Sell Only based on your market outlook and strategy preference.
Strategy Performance:
In testing with BTC/USD, this strategy performed well in a 4-hour Heikin Ashi timeframe applied on a 1-hour chart over a period from January 1, 2024, to September 12, 2024. The results were as follows:
Initial Capital: 1 USD
Order Size: 100% of equity
Net Profit: +30.74 USD (3,073.52% return)
Percent Profitable: 78.28% of trades were winners.
Profit Factor: 15.825, indicating that the strategy's profitable trades far outweighed its losses.
Max Drawdown: 4.21%, showing low risk exposure relative to the large profit potential.
This strategy is ideal for both beginner and advanced traders who are looking to follow trends and avoid market noise by using Heikin Ashi candles. It is also well-suited for traders who prefer automated risk management through the use of stop loss and take profit levels.
Recommended Use:
Best Markets: This strategy works well on trending markets like cryptocurrency, Forex, or indices.
Timeframes: Works best when applied to lower timeframes (e.g., 1-hour chart) with a higher Heikin Ashi timeframe (e.g., 4-hour candles) to smooth out price action.
Leverage: The strategy performs well with leverage, but users should consider using 2x to 3x leverage to avoid excessive risk and potential liquidation. The strategy's low drawdown allows for moderate leverage use while maintaining risk control.
Customization: Traders can adjust the stop loss and take profit percentages based on their risk appetite and market conditions. A default setting of a 2% stop loss and 4% take profit provides a balanced risk/reward ratio.
Notes:
Risk Management: Traders should enable stop loss and take profit settings to maintain effective risk management and prevent large drawdowns during volatile market conditions.
Optimization: This strategy can be further optimized by adjusting the Heikin Ashi timeframe and risk parameters based on specific market conditions and assets.
Backtesting: The built-in backtesting functionality allows traders to test the strategy across different market conditions and historical data to ensure robustness before applying it to live trading.
How to Apply:
Select your preferred market and chart.
Choose the appropriate Heikin Ashi timeframe based on the chart's timeframe. (e.g., use 4-hour Heikin Ashi candles for 1-hour chart trends).
Adjust stop loss and take profit based on your risk management preference.
Run backtesting to evaluate its performance before applying it in live trading.
This strategy can be further modified and optimized based on personal trading style and market conditions. It’s important to monitor performance regularly and adjust settings as needed to align with market behavior.
LRS-Strategy: 200-EMA Buffer & Long/Short Signals LRS-Strategy: 200-EMA Buffer & Long/Short Signals
This indicator is designed to help traders implement the Leveraged Return Strategy (LRS) using the 200-day Exponential Moving Average (EMA) as a key trend-following signal. The indicator offers clear long and short signals by analyzing the price movements relative to the 200-day EMA, enhanced by customizable buffer zones for increased precision.
Key Features:
200-Day EMA: The main trend indicator. When the price is above the 200-day EMA, the market is considered in an uptrend, and when it is below, it indicates a downtrend.
Customizable Buffer Zones: Users can define a percentage buffer around the 200-day EMA (default is 3%). The upper and lower buffer zones help filter out noise and prevent premature signals.
Precise Long/Short Signals:
Long Signal: Triggered when the price moves from below the lower buffer zone, crosses the 200-day EMA, and then breaks above the upper buffer zone.
Short Signal: Triggered when the price moves from above the upper buffer zone, crosses the 200-day EMA, and then breaks below the lower buffer zone.
Alternating Signals: Ensures that a new signal (long or short) is only generated after the opposite signal has been triggered, preventing multiple signals of the same type without a reversal.
Clear Visual Aids: The indicator displays the 200-day EMA and buffer zones on the chart, along with buy (long) and sell (short) signals. This makes it easy to track trends and time entries/exits.
How to Use:
Long Entry: Look for the price to move below the lower buffer, cross the 200-day EMA from below, and then break out of the upper buffer to confirm a long signal.
Short Entry: Look for the price to move above the upper buffer, cross below the 200-day EMA, and then break below the lower buffer to confirm a short signal.
This indicator is perfect for traders who prefer a structured, trend-following approach, using clear rules to minimize noise and identify meaningful long or short opportunities.
Price-Volume w Trendline - Strategy [presentTrading]█ Introduction and How it is Different
The Price-Volume with Trendline Strategy is an innovative strategy that combines volume profile analysis, price-based Z-scores, and dynamic trendline filtering to identify optimal entry and exit points in the market. What sets this strategy apart is the integration of volume concentration (Point of Control or PoC) with dynamic volatility thresholds. Additionally, this strategy introduces a multi-step take profit (TP) mechanism that adjusts based on predefined levels, allowing traders to exit trades progressively while capitalizing on market momentum.
BTCUSD 6hr LS Performance
█ Strategy, How it Works: Detailed Explanation
The combination of multiple indicators and methodologies serves to create a more robust and reliable trading system. Each element is carefully chosen for its complementary role in providing accurate signals while minimizing false entries and exits. Here’s why the different components were chosen and how they work together:
- PoC and Z-Scores: The volume profile identifies key price areas, while the Z-score measures deviations from the mean. Together, they highlight points where the market is likely to react. For example, when the Z-score indicates an oversold condition near a PoC support level, it increases the probability of a reversal, providing a clear entry signal.
- Trendlines and Z-Scores: Trendlines serve as a secondary filter to ensure that price deviations identified by Z-scores align with broader market trends. This ensures that trades are only entered when the price has both deviated from its average and broken through a significant trendline level, reducing the likelihood of false signals.
- Multi-Step TP and Risk Management: Finally, the multi-step take profit logic works in tandem with the entry signals generated by the PoC, Z-scores, and trendlines. As the price moves in favor of the trade, profits are gradually locked in, ensuring the trader captures gains while still leaving room for further upside.
🔶 Point of Control (PoC) and Volume Profile Analysis
The PoC identifies the price level with the highest volume concentration within a specified lookback period. This price level represents where the most trading activity has occurred, often acting as a strong support or resistance. By breaking down the range into several rows (bins), the strategy identifies how much volume was traded at each price level.
🔶 Z-Score Calculation
The Z-score is a statistical metric that measures how far the current price is from its mean, expressed in terms of standard deviations. This is calculated both for price deviation and PoC-based deviation.
🔶 Trendline Breakout Filtering
The trendline filtering is a crucial aspect that refines entry signals by confirming trend continuation or reversals. It calculates trendlines based on pivot highs and lows using the selected method (e.g., ATR or standard deviation).
🔶 Multi-Step Take Profit
The multi-step take profit mechanism allows the strategy to take partial profits at several predefined levels. For example, when the price reaches 3%, 8%, 14%, or 21% above (or below) the entry price, it exits portions of the position. This is a useful technique for locking in profits as the market moves favorably.
Local
█ Usage
The Price-Volume with Trendline Strategy can be applied to various asset classes, including stocks, cryptocurrencies, and commodities. It is particularly effective in volatile markets where price deviations and volume concentrations signal potential reversals or trend continuations. By adjusting the settings for volatility and the lookback period, this strategy can be tailored to both short-term intraday trades and longer-term swing trades.
█ Default Settings
The default settings in the strategy play a vital role in shaping its performance.
- POC_lookbackLength (144): This defines the number of bars used to calculate the PoC. A longer lookback captures more data, leading to a more stable PoC, but may result in delayed signals. A shorter lookback increases responsiveness but may introduce noise.
- priceDeviationLength (200): This determines the period for calculating the standard deviation of price. A higher length smooths out the volatility, reducing the likelihood of false signals. Shorter lengths make the strategy more sensitive to sudden price movements.
- TL_length (14): Controls the swing detection period for trendline calculation. A shorter length will generate more frequent trendline breakouts, while a longer length captures only significant moves.
- Stop Loss and Take Profit: The strategy offers both fixed and SuperTrend-based stop losses. SuperTrend is adaptive to volatility, while fixed stop losses provide simpler risk control. The multi-step take profit ensures that profits are secured progressively, which can improve performance in trending markets by reducing the risk of full reversals.
Each of these settings can significantly affect the strategy’s risk-reward balance. For instance, increasing the stop loss level or the take profit percentages allows the strategy to stay in trades longer, potentially increasing profit per trade but at the cost of larger drawdowns. Conversely, tighter stops and smaller profit targets result in more frequent trades with lower average profit per trade.
Intramarket Difference Index StrategyHi Traders !!
The IDI Strategy:
In layman’s terms this strategy compares two indicators across markets and exploits their differences.
note: it is best the two markets are correlated as then we know we are trading a short to long term deviation from both markets' general trend with the assumption both markets will trend again sometime in the future thereby exhausting our trading opportunity.
📍 Import Notes:
This Strategy calculates trade position size independently (i.e. risk per trade is controlled in the user inputs tab), this means that the ‘Order size’ input in the ‘Properties’ tab will have no effect on the strategy. Why ? because this allows us to define custom position size algorithms which we can use to improve our risk management and equity growth over time. Here we have the option to have fixed quantity or fixed percentage of equity ATR (Average True Range) based stops in addition to the turtle trading position size algorithm.
‘Pyramiding’ does not work for this strategy’, similar to the order size input togeling this input will have no effect on the strategy as the strategy explicitly defines the maximum order size to be 1.
This strategy is not perfect, and as of writing of this post I have not traded this algo.
Always take your time to backtests and debug the strategy.
🔷 The IDI Strategy:
By default this strategy pulls data from your current TV chart and then compares it to the base market, be default BINANCE:BTCUSD . The strategy pulls SMA and RSI data from either market (we call this the difference data), standardizes the data (solving the different unit problem across markets) such that it is comparable and then differentiates the data, calling the result of this transformation and difference the Intramarket Difference (ID). The formula for the the ID is
ID = market1_diff_data - market2_diff_data (1)
Where
market(i)_diff_data = diff_data / ATR(j)_market(i)^0.5,
where i = {1, 2} and j = the natural numbers excluding 0
Formula (1) interpretation is the following
When ID > 0: this means the current market outperforms the base market
When ID = 0: Markets are at long run equilibrium
When ID < 0: this means the current market underperforms the base market
To form the strategy we define one of two strategy type’s which are Trend and Mean Revesion respectively.
🔸 Trend Case:
Given the ‘‘Strategy Type’’ is equal to TREND we define a threshold for which if the ID crosses over we go long and if the ID crosses under the negative of the threshold we go short.
The motivating idea is that the ID is an indicator of the two symbols being out of sync, and given we know volatility clustering, momentum and mean reversion of anomalies to be a stylised fact of financial data we can construct a trading premise. Let's first talk more about this premise.
For some markets (cryptocurrency markets - synthetic symbols in TV) the stylised fact of momentum is true, this means that higher momentum is followed by higher momentum, and given we know momentum to be a vector quantity (with magnitude and direction) this momentum can be both positive and negative i.e. when the ID crosses above some threshold we make an assumption it will continue in that direction for some time before executing back to its long run equilibrium of 0 which is a reasonable assumption to make if the market are correlated. For example for the BTCUSD - ETHUSD pair, if the ID > +threshold (inputs for MA and RSI based ID thresholds are found under the ‘‘INTRAMARKET DIFFERENCE INDEX’’ group’), ETHUSD outperforms BTCUSD, we assume the momentum to continue so we go long ETHUSD.
In the standard case we would exit the market when the IDI returns to its long run equilibrium of 0 (for the positive case the ID may return to 0 because ETH’s difference data may have decreased or BTC’s difference data may have increased). However in this strategy we will not define this as our exit condition, why ?
This is because we want to ‘‘let our winners run’’, to achieve this we define a trailing Donchian Channel stop loss (along with a fixed ATR based stop as our volatility proxy). If we were too use the 0 exit the strategy may print a buy signal (ID > +threshold in the simple case, market regimes may be used), return to 0 and then print another buy signal, and this process can loop may times, this high trade frequency means we fail capture the entire market move lowering our profit, furthermore on lower time frames this high trade frequencies mean we pay more transaction costs (due to price slippage, commission and big-ask spread) which means less profit.
By capturing the sum of many momentum moves we are essentially following the trend hence the trend following strategy type.
Here we also print the IDI (with default strategy settings with the MA difference type), we can see that by letting our winners run we may catch many valid momentum moves, that results in a larger final pnl that if we would otherwise exit based on the equilibrium condition(Valid trades are denoted by solid green and red arrows respectively and all other valid trades which occur within the original signal are light green and red small arrows).
another example...
Note: if you would like to plot the IDI separately copy and paste the following code in a new Pine Script indicator template.

Note it is possible that after printing a buy the strategy then prints many sell signals before returning to a buy, which again has the same implication (less profit. Potentially because we exit early only for price to continue upwards hence missing the larger "trend"). The image below showcases this cenario and again, by allowing our winner to run we may capture more profit (theoretically).
This should be clear...
🔸 Mean Reversion Case:
We stated prior that mean reversion of anomalies is an standerdies fact of financial data, how can we exploit this ?
We exploit this by normalizing the ID by applying the Ehlers fisher transformation. The transformed data is then assumed to be approximately normally distributed. To form the strategy we employ the same logic as for the z score, if the FT normalized ID > 2.5 (< -2.5) we buy (short). Our exit conditions remain unchanged (fixed ATR stop and trailing Donchian Trailing stop)
🔷 Position Sizing:
If ‘‘Fixed Risk From Initial Balance’’ is toggled true this means we risk a fixed percentage of our initial balance, if false we risk a fixed percentage of our equity (current balance).
Note we also employ a volatility adjusted position sizing formula, the turtle training method which is defined as follows.
Turtle position size = (1/ r * ATR * DV) * C
Where,
r = risk factor coefficient (default is 20)
ATR(j) = risk proxy, over j times steps
DV = Dollar Volatility, where DV = (1/Asset Price) * Capital at Risk
🔷 Risk Management:
Correct money management means we can limit risk and increase reward (theoretically). Here we employ
Max loss and gain per day
Max loss per trade
Max number of consecutive losing trades until trade skip
To read more see the tooltips (info circle).
🔷 Take Profit:
By defualt the script uses a Donchain Channel as a trailing stop and take profit, In addition to this the script defines a fixed ATR stop losses (by defualt, this covers cases where the DC range may be to wide making a fixed ATR stop usefull), ATR take profits however are defined but optional.
ATR SL and TP defined for all trades
🔷 Hurst Regime (Regime Filter):
The Hurst Exponent (H) aims to segment the market into three different states, Trending (H > 0.5), Random Geometric Brownian Motion (H = 0.5) and Mean Reverting / Contrarian (H < 0.5). In my interpretation this can be used as a trend filter that eliminates market noise.
We utilize the trending and mean reverting based states, as extra conditions required for valid trades for both strategy types respectively, in the process increasing our trade entry quality.
🔷 Example model Architecture:
Here is an example of one configuration of this strategy, combining all aspects discussed in this post.
Future Updates
- Automation integration (next update)
Trend Signals with TP & SL [UAlgo] StrategyThe "Trend Signals with TP & SL Strategy" is a trading strategy designed to capture trend continuation signals while incorporating sophisticated risk management techniques. This strategy is tailored for traders who wish to capitalize on trending market conditions with precise entry and exit points, automatically calculating Take Profit (TP) and Stop Loss (SL) levels based on either Average True Range (ATR) or percentage values. The strategy aims to enhance trade management by preventing multiple simultaneous positions and dynamically adapting to changing market conditions.
This strategy is highly configurable, allowing traders to adjust sensitivity, the ATR calculation method, and the cloud moving average length. Additionally, the strategy can display buy and sell signals directly on the chart, along with visual representation of entry points, stop losses, and take profits. It also features a cloud-based trend analysis using a MACD-driven color fill that indicates the strength and direction of the trend.
🔶 Key Features
Configurable Trend Continuation Signals:
Source Selection: The strategy uses the midpoint of the high-low range as the default source, but it is adjustable.
Sensitivity: The sensitivity of the trend signals can be adjusted using a multiplier, ranging from 0.5 to 5.
ATR Calculation: The strategy allows users to choose between two ATR calculation methods for better adaptability to different market conditions.
Cloud Moving Average: Traders can adjust the cloud moving average length, which is used in conjunction with MACD to provide a visual trend indication.
Take Profit & Stop Loss Management:
ATR-Based or Percent-Based: The strategy offers flexibility in setting TP and SL levels, allowing traders to choose between ATR-based multipliers or fixed percentage values.
Dynamic Adjustment: TP and SL levels are dynamically adjusted according to the selected method, ensuring trades are managed based on real-time market conditions.
Prevention of Multiple Positions:
Single Position Control: To reduce risk and enhance strategy reliability, the strategy includes an option to prevent multiple positions from being opened simultaneously.
Visual Trade Indicators:
Buy/Sell Signals: Clearly displays buy and sell signals on the chart for easy interpretation.
Entry, SL, and TP Lines: Draws lines for entry price, stop loss, and take profit directly on the chart, helping traders to monitor trades visually.
Trend Cloud: A color-filled cloud based on MACD and the cloud moving average provides a visual cue of the trend’s direction and strength.
Performance Summary Table:
In-Chart Statistics: A table in the top right of the chart displays key performance metrics, including total trades, wins, losses, and win rate percentage, offering a quick overview of the strategy’s effectiveness.
🔶 Interpreting the Indicator
Trend Signals: The strategy identifies trend continuation signals based on price action relative to an ATR-based threshold. A buy signal is generated when the price crosses above a key level, indicating an uptrend. Conversely, a sell signal occurs when the price crosses below a level, signaling a downtrend.
Cloud Visualization: The cloud, derived from MACD and moving averages, changes color to reflect the current trend. A positive cloud in aqua suggests an uptrend, while a red cloud indicates a downtrend. The transparency of the cloud offers further nuance, with more solid colors denoting stronger trends.
Entry and Exit Management: Once a trend signal is generated, the strategy automatically sets TP and SL levels based on your chosen method (ATR or percentage). The stop loss and take profit lines will appear on the chart, showing where the strategy will exit the trade. If the price reaches either the SL or TP, the trade is closed, and the respective line is deleted from the chart.
Performance Metrics: The strategy’s performance is tracked in real-time with an in-chart table. This table provides essential information about the number of trades executed, the win/loss ratio, and the overall win rate. This information helps traders assess the strategy's effectiveness and make necessary adjustments.
This strategy is designed for those who seek to engage with trending markets, offering robust tools for entry, exit, and overall trade management. By understanding and leveraging these features, traders can potentially improve their trading outcomes and risk management.

Innocent Heikin Ashi Ethereum StrategyHello there, im back!
If you are familiar with my previous scripts, this one will seem like the future's nostalgia!
Functionality:
As you can see, all candles are randomly colored. This has no deeper meaning, it should remind you to switch to Heikin Ashi. The Strategy works on standard candle stick charts, but should be used with Heikin Ashi to see the actual results. (Regular OHLC calculations are included.)
Same as in my previous scripts we import our PVSRA Data from @TradersReality open source Indicator.
With this data and the help of moving averages, we have got an edge in the market.
Signal Logic:
When a "violently green" candle appears (high buy volume + tick speed) above the 50 EMA indicates a change in trend and sudden higher prices. Depending on OHLC of the candle itself and volume, Take Profit and Stop Loss is calculated. (The price margin is the only adjustable setting). Additionally, to make this script as simple and easily useable as possible, all other adjustable variables have been already set to the best suitable value and the chart was kept plain, except for the actual entries and exits.
Basic Settings and Adjustables:
Main Input 1: TP and SL combined price range. (Double, Triple R:R equally.)
Trade Inputs: All standard trade size and contract settings for testing available.
Special Settings:
Checkbox 1: Calculate Signal in Heikin Ashi chart, including regular candle OHLC („Open, High, Low, Close“)
Checkbox 2/3: Calculate by order fill or every tick.
Checkbox 4: Possible to fill orders on bar close.
Timeframe and practical usage:
Made for the 5 Minute to 1 hour timeframe.
Literally ONLY works on Ethereum and more or less on Bitcoin.
EVERY other asset has absolute 0% profitability.
Have fun and share with your friends!
Thanks for using!

The idea behind this indicator is for trader to see what the Williams %r is doing on higher timeframes without the need to change the chart. I added the "Smoothing" function to take the jagged lines out of the higher timeframe. It has a better flow this way.
If we choose the 4H and the Daily timeframes for example. In this bullish situation I wait for the Daily WPR to cross above the -50 mid line. Then the faster 4H WPR will eventually hit the bottom and begin to rise again back into the trend.
This is the "Reset" of the 4H WPR and when the 4H WPR crosses up above the -50 mid line again it means price should begin to rise on the chart. I added the option to change the colour when the signal lines cross the -50. It is good to use a fast time frame so you can see the WPR hitting the bottom in an uptrend, but not too fast.
The Heiken Ashi candle sticks are a very good addition to this system. You can also use a colour changing 200 EMA if you run the "1H/Daily" in the WPR. Or the 50 EMA if you run the Daily 4H.
This system could be used on lower timeframes too but I have not tested it there.
The Dual WPR indicator, the colour changing 50 EMA and Heiken Ashi have been optimised for the 4H/Daily.
If you want to set alerts the the faster WPR line crossing the -50 is good, on candle close.
This way you will only need one alert per chart.
If you get an alert on the EURUSD 4H that the 4H WPR has crossed up then look to see what what the Daily WPR is doing. If it is also above the -50 mid line then EURUSD is probably trending up.
Thank you to TradingView for supplying the Williams %r template.
I hope this helps some other traders out there.
I combined the Supertrend and the Coloured EMA in the main screen into one indicator.
This is my first indicator published :-)
Have fun out there and good luck.

Multi-Step FlexiSuperTrend - Strategy [presentTrading]At the heart of this endeavor is a passion for continuous improvement in the art of trading
█ Introduction and How it is Different
The "Multi-Step FlexiSuperTrend - Strategy " is an advanced trading strategy that integrates the well-known SuperTrend indicator with a nuanced and dynamic approach to market trend analysis. Unlike conventional SuperTrend strategies that rely on static thresholds and fixed parameters, this strategy introduces multi-step take profit mechanisms that allow traders to capitalize on varying market conditions in a more controlled and systematic manner.
What sets this strategy apart is its ability to dynamically adjust to market volatility through the use of an incremental factor applied to the SuperTrend calculation. This adjustment ensures that the strategy remains responsive to both minor and major market shifts, providing a more accurate signal for entries and exits. Additionally, the integration of multi-step take profit levels offers traders the flexibility to scale out of positions, locking in profits progressively as the market moves in their favor.
BTC 6hr Long/Short Performance
█ Strategy, How it Works: Detailed Explanation
The Multi-Step FlexiSuperTrend strategy operates on the foundation of the SuperTrend indicator, but with several enhancements that make it more adaptable to varying market conditions. The key components of this strategy include the SuperTrend Polyfactor Oscillator, a dynamic normalization process, and multi-step take profit levels.
🔶 SuperTrend Polyfactor Oscillator
The SuperTrend Polyfactor Oscillator is the heart of this strategy. It is calculated by applying a series of SuperTrend calculations with varying factors, starting from a defined "Starting Factor" and incrementing by a specified "Increment Factor." The indicator length and the chosen price source (e.g., HLC3, HL2) are inputs to the oscillator.
The SuperTrend formula typically calculates an upper and lower band based on the average true range (ATR) and a multiplier (the factor). These bands determine the trend direction. In the FlexiSuperTrend strategy, the oscillator is enhanced by iteratively applying the SuperTrend calculation across different factors. The iterative process allows the strategy to capture both minor and significant trend changes.
For each iteration (indexed by `i`), the following calculations are performed:
1. ATR Calculation: The Average True Range (ATR) is calculated over the specified `indicatorLength`:
ATR_i = ATR(indicatorLength)
2. Upper and Lower Bands Calculation: The upper and lower bands are calculated using the ATR and the current factor:
Upper Band_i = hl2 + (ATR_i * Factor_i)
Lower Band_i = hl2 - (ATR_i * Factor_i)
Here, `Factor_i` starts from `startingFactor` and is incremented by `incrementFactor` in each iteration.
3. Trend Determination: The trend is determined by comparing the indicator source with the upper and lower bands:
Trend_i = 1 (uptrend) if IndicatorSource > Upper Band_i
Trend_i = 0 (downtrend) if IndicatorSource < Lower Band_i
Otherwise, the trend remains unchanged from the previous value.
4. Output Calculation: The output of each iteration is determined based on the trend:
Output_i = Lower Band_i if Trend_i = 1
Output_i = Upper Band_i if Trend_i = 0
This process is repeated for each iteration (from 0 to 19), creating a series of outputs that reflect different levels of trend sensitivity.
Local
🔶 Normalization Process
To make the oscillator values comparable across different market conditions, the deviations between the indicator source and the SuperTrend outputs are normalized. The normalization method can be one of the following:
1. Max-Min Normalization: The deviations are normalized based on the range of the deviations:
Normalized Value_i = (Deviation_i - Min Deviation) / (Max Deviation - Min Deviation)
2. Absolute Sum Normalization: The deviations are normalized based on the sum of absolute deviations:
Normalized Value_i = Deviation_i / Sum of Absolute Deviations
This normalization ensures that the oscillator values are within a consistent range, facilitating more reliable trend analysis.
For more details:
🔶 Multi-Step Take Profit Mechanism
One of the unique features of this strategy is the multi-step take profit mechanism. This allows traders to lock in profits at multiple levels as the market moves in their favor. The strategy uses three take profit levels, each defined as a percentage increase (for long trades) or decrease (for short trades) from the entry price.
1. First Take Profit Level: Calculated as a percentage increase/decrease from the entry price:
TP_Level1 = Entry Price * (1 + tp_level1 / 100) for long trades
TP_Level1 = Entry Price * (1 - tp_level1 / 100) for short trades
The strategy exits a portion of the position (defined by `tp_percent1`) when this level is reached.
2. Second Take Profit Level: Similar to the first level, but with a higher percentage:
TP_Level2 = Entry Price * (1 + tp_level2 / 100) for long trades
TP_Level2 = Entry Price * (1 - tp_level2 / 100) for short trades
The strategy exits another portion of the position (`tp_percent2`) at this level.
3. Third Take Profit Level: The final take profit level:
TP_Level3 = Entry Price * (1 + tp_level3 / 100) for long trades
TP_Level3 = Entry Price * (1 - tp_level3 / 100) for short trades
The remaining portion of the position (`tp_percent3`) is exited at this level.
This multi-step approach provides a balance between securing profits and allowing the remaining position to benefit from continued favorable market movement.
█ Trade Direction
The strategy allows traders to specify the trade direction through the `tradeDirection` input. The options are:
1. Both: The strategy will take both long and short positions based on the entry signals.
2. Long: The strategy will only take long positions.
3. Short: The strategy will only take short positions.
This flexibility enables traders to tailor the strategy to their market outlook or current trend analysis.
█ Usage
To use the Multi-Step FlexiSuperTrend strategy, traders need to set the input parameters according to their trading style and market conditions. The strategy is designed for versatility, allowing for various market environments, including trending and ranging markets.
Traders can also adjust the multi-step take profit levels and percentages to match their risk management and profit-taking preferences. For example, in highly volatile markets, traders might set wider take profit levels with smaller percentages at each level to capture larger price movements.
The normalization method and the incremental factor can be fine-tuned to adjust the sensitivity of the SuperTrend Polyfactor Oscillator, making the strategy more responsive to minor market shifts or more focused on significant trends.
█ Default Settings
The default settings of the strategy are carefully chosen to provide a balanced approach between risk management and profit potential. Here is a breakdown of the default settings and their effects on performance:
1. Indicator Length (10): This parameter controls the lookback period for the ATR calculation. A shorter length makes the strategy more sensitive to recent price movements, potentially generating more signals. A longer length smooths out the ATR, reducing sensitivity but filtering out noise.
2. Starting Factor (0.618): This is the initial multiplier used in the SuperTrend calculation. A lower starting factor makes the SuperTrend bands closer to the price, generating more frequent trend changes. A higher starting factor places the bands further away, filtering out minor fluctuations.
3. Increment Factor (0.382): This parameter controls how much the factor increases with each iteration of the SuperTrend calculation. A smaller increment factor results in more gradual changes in sensitivity, while a larger increment factor creates a wider range of sensitivity across the iterations.
4. Normalization Method (None): The default is no normalization, meaning the raw deviations are used. Normalization methods like Max-Min or Absolute Sum can make the deviations more consistent across different market conditions, improving the reliability of the oscillator.
5. Take Profit Levels (2%, 8%, 18%): These levels define the thresholds for exiting portions of the position. Lower levels (e.g., 2%) capture smaller profits quickly, while higher levels (e.g., 18%) allow positions to run longer for more significant gains.
6. Take Profit Percentages (30%, 20%, 15%): These percentages determine how much of the position is exited at each take profit level. A higher percentage at the first level locks in more profit early, reducing exposure to market reversals. Lower percentages at higher levels allow for a portion of the position to benefit from extended trends.
Fibonacci-Only StrategyFibonacci-Only Strategy
This script is a custom trading strategy designed for traders who leverage Fibonacci retracement levels to identify potential trade entries and exits. The strategy is versatile, allowing users to trade across multiple timeframes, with built-in options for dynamic stop loss, trailing stops, and take profit levels.
Key Features:
Custom Fibonacci Levels:
This strategy calculates three specific Fibonacci retracement levels: 19%, 82.56%, and the reverse 19% level. These levels are used to identify potential areas of support and resistance where price reversals or breaks might occur.
The Fibonacci levels are calculated based on the highest and lowest prices within a 100-bar period, making them dynamic and responsive to recent market conditions.
Dynamic Entry Conditions:
Touch Entry: The script enters long or short positions when the price touches specific Fibonacci levels and confirms the move with a bullish (for long) or bearish (for short) candle.
Break Entry (Optional): If the "Use Break Strategy" option is enabled, the script can also enter positions when the price breaks through Fibonacci levels, providing more aggressive entry opportunities.
Stop Loss Management:
The script offers flexible stop loss settings. Users can choose between a fixed percentage stop loss or an ATR-based stop loss, which adjusts based on market volatility.
The ATR (Average True Range) stop loss is multiplied by a user-defined factor, allowing for tailored risk management based on market conditions.
Trailing Stop Mechanism:
The script includes an optional trailing stop feature, which adjusts the stop loss level as the market moves in favor of the trade. This helps lock in profits while allowing the trade to run if the trend continues.
The trailing stop is calculated as a percentage of the difference between the entry price and the current market price.
Multiple Take Profit Levels:
The strategy calculates seven take profit levels, each at incremental percentages above (for long trades) or below (for short trades) the entry price. This allows for gradual profit-taking as the market moves in the trade's favor.
Each take profit level can be customized in terms of the percentage of the position to be closed, providing precise control over exit strategies.
Strategy Backtesting and Results:
Realistic Backtesting:
The script has been backtested with realistic account sizes, commission rates, and slippage settings to ensure that the results are applicable to actual trading scenarios.
The backtesting covers various timeframes and markets to ensure the strategy's robustness across different trading environments.
Default Settings:
The script is published with default settings that have been optimized for general use. These settings include a 15-minute timeframe, a 1.0% stop loss, a 2.0 ATR multiplier for stop loss, and a 1.5% trailing stop.
Users can adjust these settings to better fit their specific trading style or the market they are trading.
How It Works:
Long Entry Conditions:
The strategy enters a long position when the price touches the 19% Fibonacci level (from high to low) or the reverse 19% level (from low to high) and confirms the move with a bullish candle.
If the "Use Break Strategy" option is enabled, the script will also enter a long position when the price breaks below the 19% Fibonacci level and then moves back up, confirming the break with a bullish candle.
Short Entry Conditions:
The strategy enters a short position when the price touches the 82.56% Fibonacci level and confirms the move with a bearish candle.
If the "Use Break Strategy" option is enabled, the script will also enter a short position when the price breaks above the 82.56% Fibonacci level and then moves back down, confirming the break with a bearish candle.
Stop Loss and Take Profit Logic:
The stop loss for each trade is calculated based on the selected method (fixed percentage or ATR-based). The strategy then manages the trade by either trailing the stop or taking profit at predefined levels.
The take profit levels are set at increments of 0.5% above or below the entry price, depending on whether the position is long or short. The script gradually exits the trade as these levels are hit, securing profits while minimizing risk.
Usage:
For Fibonacci Traders:
This script is ideal for traders who rely on Fibonacci retracement levels to find potential trade entries and exits. The script automates the process, allowing traders to focus on market analysis and decision-making.
For Trend and Swing Traders:
The strategy's flexibility in handling both touch and break entries makes it suitable for trend-following and swing trading strategies. The multiple take profit levels allow traders to capture profits in trending markets while managing risk.
Important Notes:
Originality: This script uniquely combines Fibonacci retracement levels with dynamic stop loss management and multiple take profit levels. It is not just a combination of existing indicators but a thoughtful integration designed to enhance trading performance.
Disclaimer: Trading involves risk, and it is crucial to test this script in a demo account or through backtesting before applying it to live trading. Users should ensure that the settings align with their individual risk tolerance and trading strategy.
Multi-Step Vegas SuperTrend - strategy [presentTrading]Long time no see! I am back : ) Please allow me to gain some warm-up.
█ Introduction and How it is Different
The "Vegas SuperTrend Strategy" is an enhanced trading strategy that leverages both the Vegas Channel and SuperTrend indicators to generate buy and sell signals.
What sets this strategy apart from others is its dynamic adjustment to market volatility and its multi-step take profit mechanism. Unlike traditional single-step profit-taking approaches, this strategy allows traders to systematically scale out of positions at predefined profit levels, thereby optimizing their risk-reward ratio and maximizing potential gains.
BTCUSD 6hr performance
█ Strategy, How it Works: Detailed Explanation
The Vegas SuperTrend Strategy combines the strengths of the Vegas Channel and SuperTrend indicators to identify market trends and generate trade signals. The following subsections delve into the details of how each component works and how they are integrated.
🔶 Vegas Channel Calculation
The Vegas Channel is based on a simple moving average (SMA) and the standard deviation (STD) of the closing prices over a specified period. The channel is defined by upper and lower bounds that are dynamically adjusted based on market volatility.
Simple Moving Average (SMA):
SMA_vegas = (1/N) * Σ(Close_i) for i = 0 to N-1
where N is the length of the Vegas Window.
Standard Deviation (STD):
STD_vegas = sqrt((1/N) * Σ(Close_i - SMA_vegas)^2) for i = 0 to N-1
Vegas Channel Upper and Lower Bounds:
VegasChannelUpper = SMA_vegas + STD_vegas
VegasChannelLower = SMA_vegas - STD_vegas
The details are here:
🔶 Trend Detection and Trade Signals
The strategy determines the current market trend based on the closing price relative to the SuperTrend bounds:
Market Trend:
MarketTrend = 1 if Close > SuperTrendPrevLower
-1 if Close < SuperTrendPrevUpper
Previous Trend otherwise
Trade signals are generated when there is a shift in the market trend:
Bullish Signal: When the market trend shifts from -1 to 1.
Bearish Signal: When the market trend shifts from 1 to -1.
🔶 Multi-Step Take Profit Mechanism
The strategy incorporates a multi-step take profit mechanism that allows for partial exits at predefined profit levels. This helps in locking in profits gradually and reducing exposure to market reversals.
Take Profit Levels:
The take profit levels are calculated as percentages of the entry price:
TakeProfitLevel_i = EntryPrice * (1 + TakeProfitPercent_i/100) for long positions
TakeProfitLevel_i = EntryPrice * (1 - TakeProfitPercent_i/100) for short positions
Multi-steps take profit local picture:
█ Trade Direction
The trade direction can be customized based on the user's preference:
Long: The strategy only takes long positions.
Short: The strategy only takes short positions.
Both: The strategy can take both long and short positions based on the market trend.
█ Usage
To use the Vegas SuperTrend Strategy, follow these steps:
Configure Input Settings:
- Set the ATR period, Vegas Window length, SuperTrend Multiplier, and Volatility Adjustment Factor.
- Choose the desired trade direction (Long, Short, Both).
- Enable or disable the take profit mechanism and set the take profit percentages and amounts for each step.
█ Default Settings
The default settings of the strategy are designed to provide a balanced approach to trading. Below is an explanation of each setting and its effect on the strategy's performance:
ATR Period (10): This setting determines the length of the ATR used in the SuperTrend calculation. A longer period smoothens the ATR, making the SuperTrend less sensitive to short-term volatility. A shorter period makes the SuperTrend more responsive to recent price movements.
Vegas Window Length (100): This setting defines the period for the Vegas Channel's moving average. A longer window provides a broader view of the market trend, while a shorter window makes the channel more responsive to recent price changes.
SuperTrend Multiplier (5): This base multiplier adjusts the sensitivity of the SuperTrend to the ATR. A higher multiplier makes the SuperTrend less sensitive, reducing the frequency of trade signals. A lower multiplier increases sensitivity, generating more signals.
Volatility Adjustment Factor (5): This factor dynamically adjusts the SuperTrend multiplier based on the width of the Vegas Channel. A higher factor increases the sensitivity of the SuperTrend to changes in market volatility, while a lower factor reduces it.
Take Profit Percentages (3.0%, 6.0%, 12.0%, 21.0%): These settings define the profit levels at which portions of the trade are exited. They help in locking in profits progressively as the trade moves in favor.
Take Profit Amounts (25%, 20%, 10%, 15%): These settings determine the percentage of the position to exit at each take profit level. They are distributed to ensure that significant portions of the trade are closed as the price reaches the set levels, reducing exposure to reversals.
Adjusting these settings can significantly impact the strategy's performance. For instance, increasing the ATR period or the SuperTrend multiplier can reduce the number of trades, potentially improving the win rate but also missing out on some profitable opportunities. Conversely, lowering these values can increase trade frequency, capturing more short-term movements but also increasing the risk of false signals.
Bollinger Bands Enhanced StrategyOverview
The common practice of using Bollinger bands is to use it for building mean reversion or squeeze momentum strategies. In the current script Bollinger Bands Enhanced Strategy we are trying to combine the strengths of both strategies types. It utilizes Bollinger Bands indicator to buy the local dip and activates trailing profit system after reaching the user given number of Average True Ranges (ATR). Also it uses 200 period EMA to filter trades only in the direction of a trend. Strategy can execute only long trades.
Unique Features
Trailing Profit System: Strategy uses user given number of ATR to activate trailing take profit. If price has already reached the trailing profit activation level, scrip will close long trade if price closes below Bollinger Bands middle line.
Configurable Trading Periods: Users can tailor the strategy to specific market windows, adapting to different market conditions.
Major Trend Filter: Strategy utilizes 100 period EMA to take trades only in the direction of a trend.
Flexible Risk Management: Users can choose number of ATR as a stop loss (by default = 1.75) for trades. This is flexible approach because ATR is recalculated on every candle, therefore stop-loss readjusted to the current volatility.
Methodology
First of all, script checks if currently price is above the 200-period exponential moving average EMA. EMA is used to establish the current trend. Script will take long trades on if this filtering system showing us the uptrend. Then the strategy executes the long trade if candle’s low below the lower Bollinger band. To calculate the middle Bollinger line, we use the standard 20-period simple moving average (SMA), lower band is calculated by the substruction from middle line the standard deviation multiplied by user given value (by default = 2).
When long trade executed, script places stop-loss at the price level below the entry price by user defined number of ATR (by default = 1.75). This stop-loss level recalculates at every candle while trade is open according to the current candle ATR value. Also strategy set the trailing profit activation level at the price above the position average price by user given number of ATR (by default = 2.25). It is also recalculated every candle according to ATR value. When price hit this level script plotted the triangle with the label “Strong Uptrend” and start trail the price at the middle Bollinger line. It also started to be plotted as a green line.
When price close below this trailing level script closes the long trade and search for the next trade opportunity.
Risk Management
The strategy employs a combined and flexible approach to risk management:
It allows positions to ride the trend as long as the price continues to move favorably, aiming to capture significant price movements. It features a user-defined ATR stop loss parameter to mitigate risks based on individual risk tolerance. By default, this stop-loss is set to a 1.75*ATR drop from the entry point, but it can be adjusted according to the trader's preferences.
There is no fixed take profit, but strategy allows user to define user the ATR trailing profit activation parameter. By default, this stop-loss is set to a 2.25*ATR growth from the entry point, but it can be adjusted according to the trader's preferences.
Justification of Methodology
This strategy leverages Bollinger bangs indicator to open long trades in the local dips. If price reached the lower band there is a high probability of bounce. Here is an issue: during the strong downtrend price can constantly goes down without any significant correction. That’s why we decided to use 200-period EMA as a trend filter to increase the probability of opening long trades during major uptrend only.
Usually, Bollinger Bands indicator is using for mean reversion or breakout strategies. Both of them have the disadvantages. The mean reversion buys the dip, but closes on the return to some mean value. Therefore, it usually misses the major trend moves. The breakout strategies usually have the issue with too high buy price because to have the breakout confirmation price shall break some price level. Therefore, in such strategies traders need to set the large stop-loss, which decreases potential reward to risk ratio.
In this strategy we are trying to combine the best features of both types of strategies. Script utilizes ate ATR to setup the stop-loss and trailing profit activation levels. ATR takes into account the current volatility. Therefore, when we setup stop-loss with the user-given number of ATR we increase the probability to decrease the number of false stop outs. The trailing profit concept is trying to add the beat feature from breakout strategies and increase probability to stay in trade while uptrend is developing. When price hit the trailing profit activation level, script started to trail the price with middle line if Bollinger bands indicator. Only when candle closes below the middle line script closes the long trade.

Adjusting Strategy Parameters:
Price Band Inputs:
Project Monday Strategy uses a set of configurable inputs to tailor its behavior according to the trader's preferences. The following are the key inputs for the price band calculations. Signals are not generated when the price remains within these bands.
“Length of Calculation” determines how many historical data points are used in the trend calculation. A shorter “Length of Calculation” will make the Price Band more responsive to recent price changes but may also increase the noise and the likelihood of false signals. A longer “Length of Calculation” will make the Price Band smoother, with less noise, but may cause more lag in reacting to price changes.
“Offset” determines the position of the Gaussian filter, which is used to weight the data points in the trend calculation. The offset is expressed as a fraction of the “Length of Calculation”, with a value between 0 and 1. A higher “Offset” will shift the Gaussian filter closer to the more recent data points, making the Price Band more responsive to recent price changes but potentially increasing noise. A lower “Offset” will shift the Gaussian filter closer to the centre of the window, resulting in a smoother Price Band but potentially introducing more lag.
“Sigma” refers to the standard deviation used in the Gaussian distribution function. This parameter determines the smoothness of the curve and the degree to which data points close to the centre of the “Length of Calculation” are weighted more heavily than those further away. A smaller “Sigma” will result in a narrower Gaussian filter, leading to a more responsive Price Band but with a higher chance of noise and false signals. A larger “Sigma” will result in a wider Gaussian filter, creating a smoother Price Band but with more lag.
Adjust the “Source” inputs to specify which type of price data should be used for strategy calculations and signal generation.
“Width of Band” input determines the multiplier for the band width. A higher value of “Width of Band” makes the price band wider, which generates fewer signals due to the lower probability of the price moving outside the band. Conversely, a lower multiplier makes the band narrower, generating more signals but also increasing the likelihood of false signals.
Direction input:
The Project Monday strategy includes an input to specify the direction of trades, allowing traders to control whether the strategy should consider long positions, short positions, or both. The following input parameter is used for this purpose:
This input parameter allows traders to define the type of positions the strategy will take. It has three options:
Only Long: The strategy will generate signals exclusively for buying or closing short positions, focusing on potential uptrends.
Only Short: The strategy will generate signals exclusively for selling or closing long positions, focusing on potential downtrends.
Both: The strategy will generate signals for both buying (long positions) and selling (short positions), allowing for a more comprehensive trading approach that captures opportunities in both rising and falling markets.
Signals Filter:
The Project Monday strategy includes inputs to filter signals based on higher timeframes and the length of the data used for filtering. These inputs help traders refine the strategy's performance by considering broader market trends and smoothing out short-term fluctuations.
Filter Timeframe input specifies the timeframe used for filtering signals. By choosing a higher timeframe, traders can filter out noise from shorter timeframes and focus on more significant trends. The options range from intraday minutes (e.g., 1, 5, 15 minutes) to daily (1D, 2D, etc.), weekly (1W, 2W, etc.), and monthly (1M) timeframes. This allows traders to align their strategy with their preferred trading horizon and market perspective.
Filter Length input defines the number of data points used for filtering signals on the selected timeframe. A longer filter length will smooth out the data more, helping to identify sustained trends and reduce the impact of short-term fluctuations. Conversely, a shorter filter length will make the filter more responsive to recent price changes, potentially generating more signals but also increasing sensitivity to market noise.
Adaptive Position Size:
The Project Monday strategy incorporates inputs for unique feature Adaptive Position Sizing (APS), which dynamically adjusts the size of trades based on market conditions and specified parameters. This feature helps optimize risk management and trading performance.
Enable Adaptive Position Size: Users can check or uncheck this box to enable or disable the Adaptive Position Size feature. When checked, the strategy dynamically adjusts position sizes based on the defined parameters. This allows traders to scale their positions according to market volatility and other factors, enhancing risk management and potentially improving returns. When unchecked, the strategy will not adjust position sizes adaptively, and positions will remain fixed as per other settings.
“Timeframe for Adaptive Position Size “input specifies the timeframe used for calculating the position size. Options range from intraday minutes (e.g., 30, 60 minutes) to daily (1D, 3D), weekly (1W), and monthly (1M) timeframes. Selecting an appropriate timeframe helps align position sizing calculations with the trader’s overall strategy and market perspective, ensuring that position sizes are adjusted based on relevant market data.
“APS Length” input defines the number of data points used to calculate the adaptive position size. A longer APS length will result in higher position sizes. Conversely, a shorter APS length will result in smaller position sizes.
Anticipatory Trading:
Project Monday Strategy includes inputs for unique feature Anticipatory Trading, allowing traders to open and close positions preliminarily based on certain conditions. This feature aims to provide an edge by taking action before traditional signals confirm.
Enable Preliminary Position Opening: Users can check or uncheck this box to enable or disable Preliminary Position Opening. When enabled, the strategy will open positions based on preliminary conditions before the standard signals are confirmed. This can help traders capitalize on early trend movements and potentially gain a better entry point.
Enable Preliminary Position Closing: Users can check or uncheck this box to enable or disable Preliminary Position Closing. When enabled, the strategy will close positions based on preliminary conditions before the standard exit signals are confirmed. This can help traders lock in profits or limit losses by exiting positions at the early signs of trend reversals.
“Position Size in %” input specifies the position size as a percentage of the trading capital. By setting this value, traders can control the amount of capital allocated to each trade. For example, a risk value of 40% means that 40% of the available trading capital will be used for each anticipatory trade. This helps in managing risk and ensuring that the position size aligns with the trader's risk tolerance and overall strategy.
Usage:
Signal Generation
Long signal indicates a potential uptrend, suggesting either buying or closing a short position. Short signal indicates a potential downtrend, suggesting either selling or closing a long position. Signals are generated on your chart when the price moves beyond a calculated price band based on the current trend.
Signal Filtering
The strategy includes a filtering mechanism based on the current or another timeframe. Filtering works best with higher timeframes. This component calculates the trend on a higher timeframe and predicts the trend, ensuring trades on the current timeframe are only opened if they align with the higher timeframe trend. Setting the right filter timeframe is crucial for obtaining the best signals.
Position Direction
Users can choose the direction of positions to open via the settings box. Options include only long positions, only short positions, or both.
Adaptive Position Size (APS)
Users can enable the Adaptive Position Size feature to adjust position sizes based on trend strength. The strategy evaluates the strength of the current trend based on a higher timeframe. The stronger the trend, the larger the position size for opening a position.
Anticipatory Trading
Users can activate this unique feature to enhance trading decisions. The strategy assesses the likelihood of receiving a main signal. If the opportunity appears strong, it opens a partial position, as specified in the settings box. As the probability of the signal strengthens, the strategy gradually increases the position size.
Exit Strategy
The strategy exits positions based on receiving a reverse signal. Positions opened through “Anticipatory trading” are exited incrementally as each preliminary signal reverses.
By following these steps, traders can implement the strategy to navigate various market scenarios, manage risk, and adjust trading performance over time. Adjusting parameters and monitoring signals diligently are key to adapting the strategy to individual trading styles and market conditions.
You will get
By purchasing the Project Monday strategy, you not only gain access to a cutting-edge system but also receive ready-to-use presets designed to help you start trading immediately and achieve optimal results. Multi-Regression StrategyIntroducing the "Multi-Regression Strategy" (MRS) , an advanced technical analysis tool designed to provide flexible and robust market analysis across various financial instruments.
This strategy offers users the ability to select from multiple regression techniques and risk management measures, allowing for customized analysis tailored to specific market conditions and trading styles.
Core Components:
Regression Techniques:
Users can choose one of three regression methods:
1 - Linear Regression: Provides a straightforward trend line, suitable for steady markets.
2 - Ridge Regression: Offers a more stable trend estimation in volatile markets by introducing a regularization parameter (lambda).
3 - LOESS (Locally Estimated Scatterplot Smoothing): Adapts to non-linear trends, useful for complex market behaviors.
Each regression method calculates a trend line that serves as the basis for trading decisions.
Risk Management Measures:
The strategy includes nine different volatility and trend strength measures. Users select one to define the trading bands:
1 - ATR (Average True Range)
2 - Standard Deviation
3 - Bollinger Bands Width
4 - Keltner Channel Width
5 - Chaikin Volatility
6 - Historical Volatility
7 - Ulcer Index
8 - ATRP (ATR Percentage)
9 - KAMA Efficiency Ratio
The chosen measure determines the width of the bands around the regression line, adapting to market volatility.
How It Works:
Regression Calculation:
The selected regression method (Linear, Ridge, or LOESS) calculates the main trend line.
For Ridge Regression, users can adjust the lambda parameter for regularization.
LOESS allows customization of the point span, adaptiveness, and exponent for local weighting.
Risk Band Calculation:
The chosen risk measure is calculated and normalized.
A user-defined risk multiplier is applied to adjust the sensitivity.
Upper and lower bounds are created around the regression line based on this risk measure.
Trading Signals:
Long entries are triggered when the price crosses above the regression line.
Short entries occur when the price crosses below the regression line.
Optional stop-loss and take-profit mechanisms use the calculated risk bands.
Customization and Flexibility:
Users can switch between regression methods to adapt to different market trends (linear, regularized, or non-linear).
The choice of risk measure allows adaptation to various market volatility conditions.
Adjustable parameters (e.g., regression length, risk multiplier) enable fine-tuning of the strategy.
Unique Aspects:
Comprehensive Regression Options:
Unlike many indicators that rely on a single regression method, MRS offers three distinct techniques, each suitable for different market conditions.
Diverse Risk Measures: The strategy incorporates a wide range of volatility and trend strength measures, going beyond traditional indicators to provide a more nuanced view of market dynamics.
Unified Framework:
By combining advanced regression techniques with various risk measures, MRS offers a cohesive approach to trend identification and risk management.
Adaptability:
The strategy can be easily adjusted to suit different trading styles, timeframes, and market conditions through its various input options.
How to Use:
Select a regression method based on your analysis of the current market trend (linear, need for regularization, or non-linear).
Choose a risk measure that aligns with your trading style and the market's current volatility characteristics.
Adjust the length parameter to match your preferred timeframe for analysis.
Fine-tune the risk multiplier to set the desired sensitivity of the trading bands.
Optionally enable stop-loss and take-profit mechanisms using the calculated risk bands.
Monitor the regression line for potential trend changes and the risk bands for entry/exit signals.
By offering this level of customization within a unified framework, the Multi-Regression Strategy provides traders with a powerful tool for market analysis and trading decision support. It combines the robustness of regression analysis with the adaptability of various risk measures, allowing for a more comprehensive and flexible approach to technical trading.
BE-NSE-Distributed Straddle Intraday Trading StrategyHerewith publishing the script (not the Indicator!) for the benift of Option Traders. I call this a script as this doesn't perform any kind of analysis of candle data and provide general BUY | SELL information. This Script is based on the TRUE VALUES concept which is nothing but LTP.
Idea Behind this Script:
As an option seller i need the lower risk option premium to trade. so that, time can work in our favor. basic question which we get at the first is which option to choose out of many available.
If traders feel the question is apt then this script is for them.
Logic Behind this script:
Upon Market Open, script in the BACKEND ( Under the hood ) deployes 60 possible combinations of STRADDLES for sampling, and continue to monitor the LTP movements and compares it against opposite pairs. lets say out of 30 Straddle options one of the Straddle it picked is ATM CE VS ATM PE. for 1 rs move in underlying how much impact is happening in CE VS PE.
This simple anlysis is done at every 30 seconds. once the Analysis is complete it picks 4 options 2 on the CALL side and 2 on the PUT side, which script feels the movement of prices are smooth. SMOOTH refers that time decay that can work in our favor..
Calculations behid the script:
lets say BNF LTP is 52000 at 9:20 AM, and one of the pair script took for sampling was ATM CE vs PE which are having the LTP of 100 each.
At 9:35 AM, BNF is trading at 52075, and ATM CE is reading the LTP of 122 and ATM PUT is reading the LTP of 70. ideally LTP of Call should be around 135 and Put should be around 65 considering the usual delta of 0.48 . Net Money Index for this Pair Sample is 8
Call Side => 100 - 122 = -22
Put Side => 100 - 70 = 30
Money Index => 30 - 22 = 8 for 15 Min
This Money index is calculated across choosen samples and the Option strikes is provided as an output which has mere possiblity of working in Options Seller's favor.
How to Read the Output:
For the choosen strikes from the time of Entry (Suggested Entry time by script) till the current time, the bottom pane plots the Money index as columns. Green Columns indicate that how much option premium eroded due to time decay. Red Columns indicate that how much Option premium increased during the time.
Note: Script dynamically calculate the strikes and suggests in realtime.
WARNING or a Humble Request:
For those who don't understand the word "Repaint" how it works in Pine Script. plz don't consider using this script. For those who wish to understand I have kept the Observer mode in the settings which shall guide you on why the Money Index shown on the chart when the MARKET IS CLOSED is different than when the MARKET IS OPEN (Realtime).
Disclaimer:
I have tested the script only in BNF and not sure if this works on Nifty, FinNifty or others. you may still try and plz do provide the feedback for improvising the script.

BTC outperform atrategy### Code Description
This Pine Script™ code implements a simple trading strategy based on the relative prices of Bitcoin (BTC) on a weekly and a three-month basis. The script plots the weekly and three-month closing prices of Bitcoin on the chart and generates trading signals based on the comparison of these prices. The code can also be applied to Ethereum (ETH) with similar effectiveness.
### Explanation
1. **Inputs and Variables**:
- The user selects the trading symbol (default is "BINANCE:BTCUSDT").
- `weeklyPrice` retrieves the closing price of the selected symbol on a weekly interval.
- `monthlyPrice` retrieves the closing price of the selected symbol on a three-month interval.
2. **Plotting Data**:
- The weekly price is plotted in blue.
- The three-month price is plotted in red.
3. **Trading Conditions**:
- A long position is suggested if the weekly price is greater than the three-month price.
- A short position is suggested if the three-month price is greater than the weekly price.
4. **Strategy Execution**:
- If the long condition is met, the strategy enters a long position.
- If the short condition is met, the strategy enters a short position.
This script works equally well for Ethereum (ETH) by changing the symbol input to "BINANCE:ETHUSDT" or any other desired Ethereum trading pair.
Chande Kroll Trend Strategy (SPX, 1H) | PINEINDICATORSThe "Chande Kroll Stop Strategy" is designed to optimize trading on the SPX using a 1-hour timeframe. This strategy effectively combines the Chande Kroll Stop indicator with a Simple Moving Average (SMA) to create a robust method for identifying long entry and exit points. This detailed description will explain the components, rationale, and usage to ensure compliance with TradingView's guidelines and help traders understand the strategy's utility and application.
Objective
The primary goal of this strategy is to identify potential long trading opportunities in the SPX by leveraging volatility-adjusted stop levels and trend-following principles. It aims to capture upward price movements while managing risk through dynamically calculated stops.
Chande Kroll Stop Parameters:
Calculation Mode: Offers "Linear" and "Exponential" options for position size calculation. The default mode is "Exponential."
Risk Multiplier: An adjustable multiplier for risk management and position sizing, defaulting to 5.
ATR Period: Defines the period for calculating the Average True Range (ATR), with a default of 10.
ATR Multiplier: A multiplier applied to the ATR to set stop levels, defaulting to 3.
Stop Length: Period used to determine the highest high and lowest low for stop calculation, defaulting to 21.
SMA Length: Period for the Simple Moving Average, defaulting to 21.
Calculation Details:
ATR Calculation: ATR is calculated over the specified period to measure market volatility.
Chande Kroll Stop Calculation:
High Stop: The highest high over the stop length minus the ATR multiplied by the ATR multiplier.
Low Stop: The lowest low over the stop length plus the ATR multiplied by the ATR multiplier.
SMA Calculation: The 21-period SMA of the closing price is used as a trend filter.
Entry and Exit Conditions:
Long Entry: A long position is initiated when the closing price crosses over the low stop and is above the 21-period SMA. This condition ensures that the market is trending upward and that the entry is made in the direction of the prevailing trend.
Exit Long: The long position is exited when the closing price falls below the high stop, indicating potential downward movement and protecting against significant drawdowns.
Position Sizing:
The quantity of shares to trade is calculated based on the selected calculation mode (linear or exponential) and the risk multiplier. This ensures position size is adjusted dynamically based on current market conditions and user-defined risk tolerance.
Exponential Mode: Quantity is calculated using the formula: riskMultiplier / lowestClose * 1000 * strategy.equity / strategy.initial_capital.
Linear Mode: Quantity is calculated using the formula: riskMultiplier / lowestClose * 1000.
Execution:
When the long entry condition is met, the strategy triggers a buy signal, and a long position is entered with the calculated quantity. An alert is generated to notify the trader.
When the exit condition is met, the strategy closes the position and triggers a sell signal, accompanied by an alert.
Plotting:
Buy Signals: Indicated with an upward triangle below the bar.
Sell Signals: Indicated with a downward triangle above the bar.
Application
This strategy is particularly effective for trading the SPX on a 1-hour timeframe, capitalizing on price movements by adjusting stop levels dynamically based on market volatility and trend direction.
Default Setup
Initial Capital: $1,000
Risk Multiplier: 5
ATR Period: 10
ATR Multiplier: 3
Stop Length: 21
SMA Length: 21
Commission: 0.01
Slippage: 3 Ticks
Backtesting Results
Backtesting indicates that the "Chande Kroll Stop Strategy" performs optimally on the SPX when applied to the 1-hour timeframe. The strategy's dynamic adjustment of stop levels helps manage risk effectively while capturing significant upward price movements. Backtesting was conducted with a realistic initial capital of $1,000, and commissions and slippage were included to ensure the results are not misleading.
Risk Management
The strategy incorporates risk management through dynamically calculated stop levels based on the ATR and a user-defined risk multiplier. This approach ensures that position sizes are adjusted according to market volatility, helping to mitigate potential losses. Trades are sized to risk a sustainable amount of equity, adhering to the guideline of risking no more than 5-10% per trade.
Usage Notes
Customization: Users can adjust the ATR period, ATR multiplier, stop length, and SMA length to better suit their trading style and risk tolerance.
Alerts: The strategy includes alerts for buy and sell signals to keep traders informed of potential entry and exit points.
Pyramiding: Although possible, the strategy yields the best results without pyramiding.
Justification of Components
The Chande Kroll Stop indicator and the 21-period SMA are combined to provide a robust framework for identifying long trading opportunities in trending markets. Here is why they work well together:
Chande Kroll Stop Indicator: This indicator provides dynamic stop levels that adapt to market volatility, allowing traders to set logical stop-loss levels that account for current price movements. It is particularly useful in volatile markets where fixed stops can be easily hit by random price fluctuations. By using the ATR, the stop levels adjust based on recent market activity, ensuring they remain relevant in varying market conditions.
21-Period SMA: The 21-period SMA acts as a trend filter to ensure trades are taken in the direction of the prevailing market trend. By requiring the closing price to be above the SMA for long entries, the strategy aligns itself with the broader market trend, reducing the risk of entering trades against the overall market direction. This helps to avoid false signals and ensures that the trades are in line with the dominant market movement.
Combining these two components creates a balanced approach that captures trending price movements while protecting against significant drawdowns through adaptive stop levels. The Chande Kroll Stop ensures that the stops are placed at levels that reflect current volatility, while the SMA filter ensures that trades are only taken when the market is trending in the desired direction.
Concepts Underlying Calculations
ATR (Average True Range): Used to measure market volatility, which informs the stop levels.
SMA (Simple Moving Average): Used to filter trades, ensuring positions are taken in the direction of the trend.
Chande Kroll Stop: Combines high and low price levels with ATR to create dynamic stop levels that adapt to market conditions.
Risk Disclaimer
Trading involves substantial risk, and most day traders incur losses. The "Chande Kroll Stop Strategy" is provided for informational and educational purposes only. Past performance is not indicative of future results. Users are advised to adjust and personalize this trading strategy to better match their individual trading preferences and risk tolerance.
Intelle_city - World Cycle - Ath & Atl - Logarithmic - Strategy.Overview
Indicators: Strategy !
INTELLECT_city - World Cycle - ATH & ATL - Timeframe 1D and 1W - Logarithmic - Strategy - The Pi Cycle Top and Bottom Oscillator is an adaptation of the original Pi Cycle Top chart. It compares the 111-Day Moving Average circle and the 2 * 350-Day Moving Average circle of Bitcoin’s Price. These two moving averages were selected as 350 / 111 = 3.153; An approximation of the important mathematical number Pi.
When the 111-Day Moving Average circle reaches the 2 * 350-Day Moving Average circle, it indicates that the market is becoming overheated. That is because the mid time frame momentum reference of the 111-Day Moving Average has caught up with the long timeframe momentum reference of the 2 * 350-Day Moving Average.
Historically this has occurred within 3 days of the very top of each market cycle.
When the 111 Day Moving Average circle falls back beneath the 2 * 350 Day Moving Average circle, it indicates that the market momentum of that cycle is significantly cooling down. The oscillator drops down into the lower green band shown where the 111 Day Moving Average is moving at a 75% discount relative to the 2 * 350 Day Moving Average.
Historically, this has highlighted broad areas of bear market lows.

BBTrend w SuperTrend decision - Strategy [presentTrading]This strategy aims to improve upon the performance of Traidngview's newly published "BB Trend" indicator by incorporating the SuperTrend for better trade execution and risk management. Enjoy :)
█Introduction and How it is Different
The "BBTrend w SuperTrend decision - Strategy " is a trading strategy designed to identify market trends using Bollinger Bands and SuperTrend indicators. What sets this strategy apart is its use of two Bollinger Bands with different lengths to capture both short-term and long-term market trends, providing a more comprehensive view of market dynamics. Additionally, the strategy includes customizable take profit (TP) and stop loss (SL) settings, allowing traders to tailor their risk management according to their preferences.
BTCUSD 4h Long Performance
█ Strategy, How It Works: Detailed Explanation
The BBTrend strategy employs two key indicators: Bollinger Bands and SuperTrend.
🔶 Bollinger Bands Calculation:
- Short Bollinger Bands**: Calculated using a shorter period (default 20).
- Long Bollinger Bands**: Calculated using a longer period (default 50).
- Bollinger Bands use the standard deviation of price data to create upper and lower bands around a moving average.
Upper Band = Middle Band + (k * Standard Deviation)
Lower Band = Middle Band - (k * Standard Deviation)
🔶 BBTrend Indicator:
- The BBTrend indicator is derived from the absolute differences between the short and long Bollinger Bands' lower and upper values.
BBTrend = (|Short Lower - Long Lower| - |Short Upper - Long Upper|) / Short Middle * 100
🔶 SuperTrend Indicator:
- The SuperTrend indicator is calculated using the average true range (ATR) and a multiplier. It helps identify the market trend direction by plotting levels above and below the price, which act as dynamic support and resistance levels. * @EliCobra makes the SuperTrend Toolkit. He is GOAT.
SuperTrend Upper = HL2 + (Factor * ATR)
SuperTrend Lower = HL2 - (Factor * ATR)
The strategy determines market trends by checking if the close price is above or below the SuperTrend values:
- Uptrend: Close price is above the SuperTrend lower band.
- Downtrend: Close price is below the SuperTrend upper band.
Short: 10 Long: 20 std 2
Short: 20 Long: 40 std 2
Short: 20 Long: 40 std 4
█ Trade Direction
The strategy allows traders to choose their trading direction:
- Long: Enter long positions only.
- Short: Enter short positions only.
- Both: Enter both long and short positions based on market conditions.
█ Usage
To use the "BBTrend - Strategy " effectively:
1. Configure Inputs: Adjust the Bollinger Bands lengths, standard deviation multiplier, and SuperTrend settings.
2. Set TPSL Conditions: Choose the take profit and stop loss percentages to manage risk.
3. Choose Trade Direction: Decide whether to trade long, short, or both directions.
4. Apply Strategy: Apply the strategy to your chart and monitor the signals for potential trades.
█ Default Settings
The default settings are designed to provide a balance between sensitivity and stability:
- Short BB Length (20): Captures short-term market trends.
- Long BB Length (50): Captures long-term market trends.
- StdDev (2.0): Determines the width of the Bollinger Bands.
- SuperTrend Length (10): Period for calculating the ATR.
- SuperTrend Factor (12): Multiplier for the ATR to adjust the SuperTrend sensitivity.
- Take Profit (30%): Sets the level at which profits are taken.
- Stop Loss (20%): Sets the level at which losses are cut to manage risk.
Effect on Performance
- Short BB Length: A shorter length makes the strategy more responsive to recent price changes but can generate more false signals.
- Long BB Length: A longer length provides smoother trend signals but may be slower to react to price changes.
- StdDev: Higher values create wider bands, reducing the frequency of signals but increasing their reliability.
- SuperTrend Length and Factor: Shorter lengths and higher factors make the SuperTrend more sensitive, providing quicker signals but potentially more noise.
- Take Profit and Stop Loss: Adjusting these levels affects the risk-reward ratio. Higher take profit percentages can increase gains but may result in fewer closed trades, while higher stop loss percentages can decrease the likelihood of being stopped out but increase potential losses.
Bitcoin Futures vs. Spot Tri-Frame - Strategy [presentTrading]Prove idea with a backtest is always true for trading.
I developed and open-sourced it as an educational material for crypto traders to understand that the futures and spot spread may be effective but not be as effective as they might think. It serves as an indicator of sentiment rather than a reliable predictor of market trends over certain periods. It is better suited for specific trading environments, which require further research.
█ Introduction and How it is Different
The "Bitcoin Futures vs. Spot Tri-Frame Strategy" utilizes three different timeframes to calculate the Z-Score of the spread between BTC futures and spot prices on Binance and OKX exchanges. The strategy executes long or short trades based on composite Z-Score conditions across the three timeframes.
The spread refers to the difference in price between BTC futures and BTC spot prices, calculated by taking a weighted average of futures prices from multiple exchanges (Binance and OKX) and subtracting a weighted average of spot prices from the same exchanges.
BTCUSD 1D L/S Performance
█ Strategy, How It Works: Detailed Explanation
🔶 Calculation of the Spread
The spread is the difference in price between BTC futures and BTC spot prices. The strategy calculates the spread by taking a weighted average of futures prices from multiple exchanges (Binance and OKX) and subtracting a weighted average of spot prices from the same exchanges. This spread serves as the primary metric for identifying trading opportunities.
Spread = Weighted Average Futures Price - Weighted Average Spot Price
🔶 Z-Score Calculation
The Z-Score measures how many standard deviations the current spread is from its historical mean. This is calculated for each timeframe as follows:
Spread Mean_tf = SMA(Spread_tf, longTermSMA)
Spread StdDev_tf = STDEV(Spread_tf, longTermSMA)
Z-Score_tf = (Spread_tf - Spread Mean_tf) / Spread StdDev_tf
Local performance
🔶 Composite Entry Conditions
The strategy triggers long and short entries based on composite Z-Score conditions across all three timeframes:
- Long Condition: All three Z-Scores must be greater than the long entry threshold.
Long Condition = (Z-Score_tf1 > zScoreLongEntryThreshold) and (Z-Score_tf2 > zScoreLongEntryThreshold) and (Z-Score_tf3 > zScoreLongEntryThreshold)
- Short Condition: All three Z-Scores must be less than the short entry threshold.
Short Condition = (Z-Score_tf1 < zScoreShortEntryThreshold) and (Z-Score_tf2 < zScoreShortEntryThreshold) and (Z-Score_tf3 < zScoreShortEntryThreshold)
█ Trade Direction
The strategy allows the user to specify the trading direction:
- Long: Only long trades are executed.
- Short: Only short trades are executed.
- Both: Both long and short trades are executed based on the Z-Score conditions.
█ Usage
The strategy can be applied to BTC or Crypto trading on major exchanges like Binance and OKX. By leveraging discrepancies between futures and spot prices, traders can exploit market inefficiencies. This strategy is suitable for traders who prefer a statistical approach and want to diversify their timeframes to validate signals.
█ Default Settings
- Input TF 1 (60 minutes): Sets the first timeframe for Z-Score calculation.
- Input TF 2 (120 minutes): Sets the second timeframe for Z-Score calculation.
- Input TF 3 (180 minutes): Sets the third timeframe for Z-Score calculation.
- Long Entry Z-Score Threshold (3): Defines the threshold above which a long trade is triggered.
- Short Entry Z-Score Threshold (-3): Defines the threshold below which a short trade is triggered.
- Long-Term SMA Period (100): The period used to calculate the simple moving average for the spread.
- Use Hold Days (true): Enables holding trades for a specified number of days.
- Hold Days (5): Number of days to hold the trade before exiting.
- TPSL Condition (None): Defines the conditions for taking profit and stop loss.

█ Strategy, How It Works: Detailed Explanation
🔶 Vegas Channel and SuperTrend Calculations
The strategy initiates by calculating the Vegas Channel, which is derived from a simple moving average (SMA) and the standard deviation (STD) of the closing prices over a specified window length. This channel helps in measuring market volatility and forms the basis for adjusting the SuperTrend indicator.
Vegas Channel Calculation:
- vegasMovingAverage = SMA(close, vegasWindow)
- vegasChannelStdDev = STD(close, vegasWindow)
- vegasChannelUpper = vegasMovingAverage + vegasChannelStdDev
- vegasChannelLower = vegasMovingAverage - vegasChannelStdDev
SuperTrend Multiplier Adjustment:
- channelVolatilityWidth = vegasChannelUpper - vegasChannelLower
- adjustedMultiplier = superTrendMultiplierBase + volatilityAdjustmentFactor * (channelVolatilityWidth / vegasMovingAverage)
The adjusted multiplier enhances the SuperTrend's sensitivity to market volatility, making it more adaptable to changing market conditions.

🔶 Average True Range (ATR) and SuperTrend Values
The ATR is computed over a specified period to measure market volatility. Using the ATR and the adjusted multiplier, the SuperTrend upper and lower levels are determined.
ATR Calculation:
- averageTrueRange = ATR(atrPeriod)
**SuperTrend Calculation:**
- superTrendUpper = hlc3 - (adjustedMultiplier * averageTrueRange)
- superTrendLower = hlc3 + (adjustedMultiplier * averageTrueRange)
The SuperTrend levels are continuously updated based on the previous values and the current market trend direction. The market trend is determined by comparing the closing prices with the SuperTrend levels.
Trend Direction:
- If close > superTrendLowerPrev, then marketTrend = 1 (bullish)
- If close < superTrendUpperPrev, then marketTrend = -1 (bearish)
🔶 Trade Entry and Exit Conditions
The strategy generates trade signals based on the alignment of both SuperTrends. Trades are executed only when both SuperTrends indicate the same market direction.
Entry Conditions:
- Long Position: Both SuperTrends must signal a bullish trend.
- Short Position: Both SuperTrends must signal a bearish trend.
Exit Conditions:
- Positions are exited if either SuperTrend reverses its trend direction.
- Additional conditions include holding periods and configurable take-profit and stop-loss levels.
█ Trade Direction
The strategy allows traders to specify the desired trade direction through a customizable input setting. Options include:
- Long: Only enter long positions.
- Short: Only enter short positions.
- Both: Enter both long and short positions based on the market conditions.
█ Usage
To utilize the "Double Vegas SuperTrend Enhanced" strategy, traders need to configure the input settings according to their trading preferences and market conditions. The strategy includes parameters for ATR periods, Vegas Channel window lengths, SuperTrend multipliers, volatility adjustment factors, and risk management settings such as hold days, take-profit, and stop-loss percentages.
█ Default Settings
The strategy comes with default settings that can be adjusted to fit individual trading styles:
- trade Direction: Both (allows trading in both long and short directions for maximum flexibility).
- ATR Periods: 10 for SuperTrend 1 and 5 for SuperTrend 2 (shorter ATR period results in more sensitivity to recent price movements).
- Vegas Window Lengths: 100 for SuperTrend 1 and 200 for SuperTrend 2 (longer window length results in smoother moving averages and less sensitivity to short-term volatility).
- SuperTrend Multipliers: 5 for SuperTrend 1 and 7 for SuperTrend 2 (higher multipliers lead to wider SuperTrend channels, reducing the frequency of trades).
- Volatility Adjustment Factors: 5 for SuperTrend 1 and 7 for SuperTrend 2 (higher adjustment factors increase the responsiveness to changes in market volatility).
- Hold Days: 5 (defines the minimum duration a position is held, ensuring trades are not exited prematurely).
- Take Profit: 30% (sets the target profit level to lock in gains).
- Stop Loss: 20% (sets the maximum acceptable loss level to mitigate risk).
HilalimSB Strategy HilalimSB A Wedding Gift 🌙
What is HilalimSB🌙?
First of all, as mentioned in the title, HilalimSB is a wedding gift.
HilalimSB - Revealing the Secrets of the Trend
HilalimSB is a powerful indicator designed to help investors analyze market trends and optimize trading strategies. Designed to uncover the secrets at the heart of the trend, HilalimSB stands out with its unique features and impressive algorithm.
Hilalim Algorithm and Fixed ATR Value:
HilalimSB is equipped with a special algorithm called "Hilalim" to detect market trends. This algorithm can delve into the depths of price movements to determine the direction of the trend and provide users with the ability to predict future price movements. Additionally, HilalimSB uses its own fixed Average True Range (ATR) value. ATR is an indicator that measures price movement volatility and is often used to determine the strength of a trend. The fixed ATR value of HilalimSB has been tested over long periods and its reliability has been proven. This allows users to interpret the signals provided by the indicator more reliably.
ATR Calculation Steps
1.True Range Calculation:
+ The True Range (TR) is the greatest of the following three values:
1. Current high minus current low
2. Current high minus previous close (absolute value)
3. Current low minus previous close (absolute value)
2.Average True Range (ATR) Calculation:
-The initial ATR value is calculated as the average of the TR values over a specified period
(typically 14 periods).
-For subsequent periods, the ATR is calculated using the following formula:
ATRt=(ATRt−1×(n−1)+TRt)/n
Where:
+ ATRt is the ATR for the current period,
+ ATRt−1 is the ATR for the previous period,
+ TRt is the True Range for the current period,
+ n is the number of periods.
Pine Script to Calculate ATR with User-Defined Length and Multiplier
Here is the Pine Script code for calculating the ATR with user-defined X length and Y multiplier:
//@version=5
indicator("Custom ATR", overlay=false)
// User-defined inputs
X = input.int(14, minval=1, title="ATR Period (X)")
Y = input.float(1.0, title="ATR Multiplier (Y)")
// True Range calculation
TR1 = high - low
TR2 = math.abs(high - close )
TR3 = math.abs(low - close )
TR = math.max(TR1, math.max(TR2, TR3))
// ATR calculation
ATR = ta.rma(TR, X)
// Apply multiplier
customATR = ATR * Y
// Plot the ATR value
plot(customATR, title="Custom ATR", color=color.blue, linewidth=2)
This code can be added as a new Pine Script indicator in TradingView, allowing users to calculate and display the ATR on the chart according to their specified parameters.
