It's important not to forget the downside risk that entails any kind of crypto market that goes up very strong in a short period of time. When finally the general public catched on, who was the last one to be fooled, generally the prices go down very drastically followed by an extended bearmarket. You should not forget that the media attention starts to focus when prices are still too high, such as CNBC and CNN, to push new money into the market and create short opportunities. Although the news is optimistic and pessimistic at the same time, it tends to be more pessimistic when prices aproach their bottom and get the cheapiest. As the time flies by, the market sentiment changes and hope starts to vanish: the long holders are releasing their calls! On 17 december 2019 XRP hit is bottom, it has been in a huge accumulation range since august 2018 with price relatively lower now, but cheap enough for bargain hunters to step in.
