We eat when we are happy, celebrating . And we also eat (sometimes more ) when we are not so happy or feeling rejected. And Food is one thing that can really brings people together.
While I dislike crowds, especially on weekends, visiting the food centres, coffee shops and malls food courts are part of my research work. I would sometimes order a drink, read a book and observe the crowd. Beside the mask wearing that gives away, I do not see much difference from pre-Covid 19 days. Restaurants are packed, queues are long and people are happy chatting away while waiting to get in .
We may save money now that many of us are working from home but when comes to food, many will not think twice about spending it. It is comfort food, to say the least.
I wonder with all these mask wearing, are the cosmetics sales is still as good ? Women, any points to share ?
And I am confident once the phase 3 is open and Government is opening to the idea of having more than 5 pax in 1 table, that is when restaurants and food courts will see a boom in their business.
