US Federal Reserve WILL Raise Rates ..Daily Update March 22,2023

The US Federal Reserve "will" raise interest rates by .25% this afternoon,
in order to retain their credibility in the fight against high inflation.

They will explain away the recent highly publicized bank collapses at SVB Bank and Signature Bank,
as isolated occurrences, and will go out their way to stress the overall soundness of the US financial system.

That is what the financial markets expects them to do.....
However, no one knows how those same markets will "react" to the decision today, and in the days that follow.

If in the "unlikely event", the Fed decides" not" to raise interest rates today,
and casts the recent "loss of confidence" in those same failed banks as to why they have decided to hold rates" unchanged",
then my own take is that markets will fall very sharply on that news,
since the Fed would then be perceived by markets as throwing out 'concern"
in their overall confidence of the US economy.

And you know, they would never ever, want do that.
