On May 29th, the cross-chain bridge Stargate community launched an upgrade Stargate EqReward design proposal in response to the arbitrage problem caused by the suspected bug in Stargate proposed by Twitter user zhouzhou, requesting (1) to cancel the rebalance transfer discount and make it pay Less protocol fee (keep the protocol fee of all transfers at 6-10 bps); (2) update the feelibrary so that the maximum eqReward allocated is the maximum protocol fee of the route (6-10 bps), which means rebalancing the protocol Users will receive 0 fees, but will receive no additional rewards for doing so. The above updates will not have a material impact on the Stargate core protocol. By modifying the feelibrary to only return fees rather than rewards, users will not be able to earn additional eqRewards, allowing the protocol to keep more eqRewards and incentivizing Stargate's ongoing balance. The proposal opens at 15:13 on May 28th and ends at 15:13 on May 31st. Currently, it has an approval rating of 92.6%.
