Hi all, M2S here with the first of many posts aimed at adding content to a community that has helped me so much in the last few years! Your two sats (play on "your two cents") in the comments are welcome and very much appreciated! What better day to get started with content than a market crushing buying opportunity!
To get a better idea of what we may be in for this time around (assuming it is the next bull market) I am looking back at what has happened historically.I am comparing the Price Action and Dominance of both BTC and ETH to get an idea of how the top two cryptos acted at the 2017/18 top.
The blue lines indicate BTC's previous ATH and the green lines indicates ETH's.
BTC hits ATH on Dec 17 and ETH lags behind BTC by 27 days in reaching its highest point before starting to selling off.
Notice the low daily volumes on each ATH candle with much higher volumes leading up to them.
I was assuming we see similar movements this time around but realize it is a new time with new market forces at work as institutional investors have been piling in over the last few years. Will they make up a solid base here or will they short this market to hell? Let me know if you think!
