When the stock market crashes, Bitcoin has historically crashed further. Not only is there a correlation to the stock market, but much like a traditional stock Bitcoin is affected as well. This means the beta of Bitcoin is probably one the biggest in market terms. Greater risk, but greater reward.
While this can mean Bitcoin is a great long term asset, it should not be treated as a store of value or "Digital Gold", but more what it truly is... a speculative asset.
