I have been interested in finding good indicator that would tell me when I should Hedge or sell.My initial inspiration due to the nature of my stocks where Puru Saxena. I was also following Dr. Eric Wish and it’s interesting strategy. Most of these strategies, are using the relative level of certain ema (and ma for E.Wish). This can lead to some good results, but I think that this is an approach far from optimal as it is flawed by design. Indeed, considering that major correction usually happen when the market is euphoric, this imply that these ema are usually very far from each other at that point. Therefore, the shield signal only trigger after a considerable drawdown. On the other hand, in a sideway market, all these ema are usually close from each other and generate lot of false signal like in august. Naturally, these metrics are just a tool and at the end, like Knox said earlier this week, we need to use our judgement. But what if we can make a better tool ? A tool that is less sensitive to false market signal, but that will also trigger more rapidly in case of huge market move than using simply ema ?

This code look at the phase angle between certain ema and also the variation of this phase angle. This feature, real help to circumvent the burden of how far (or close) are the ema.
