VIX:An analysis of the Vix Spikes over the last two decades

It is noted with interest that the VIX started trending up 22 months before its peak on October 13, 2008. The most recent spike in the VIX actually started from a historical low on Nov 13, 2017. 22 months from that date will take us to Sept 13, 2019. Also, from the MACD, it appears that the most recent spike is still in its infancy.
