Use the SMA crossover as the trigger for direction change.

Use this with SPY or SPX to identify direction. When the RSI crosses below the SMA you would initiate a buy Put option or initiate a Bear Call Credit Spread. If RSI Crosses above the SMA you would initiate a buy Call option or initiate a Bull Put Credit Spread. This is not financial advice it is what I do!
