Banknifty Unclear Signals

I traded on Banknifty 56,900 PE twice today 10 lots each time, in the morning around 11 am and again around 2 pm by making nominal profit of ₹ 500 after charges. Trend seesm to be missing today as the overall view is positive but the index is facing a hurdle at around 57,000.
Short-covering can't be neglected though say after 2:30 - 2:45 pm, if buying surge comes at 56,800 spot.
