Just using daily XAUUSD chart with BB indicator on it. Where noted yellow areas are, PA hit and reversed. In my opinion $1240 area will be area where gold settles, before consolidation happens and a rocket upwards afterwards. If you are conservative and trade daily gold wait for close to be below BB 20 ma before starting a bearish trade. * Remember that Mondays and Tuesday, if you check where small doji (or undecided candlesticks frequently happen).
As always, price action is always number one and money management is a close second.
