THE BIG PICTURE: Consider the historic DXY technical perspective. Without anything else considered, the Log chart shows price trading around the long term trend line. Conventional looking charts has the typical trader oblivious to this trend line. It should be closely watched to see if the dollar index rolls over. A glance at other markets will help determine whether the current trend will continue or not.
THE TECHNICAL STANPOINT: Ideally price respects the trend line and the dollar rolls over without hesitation. If this is the case, the lower time frames will start to demonstrate sell signals. The daily chart can provide the quickest entry but waiting for the weekly chart to setup should solidify the idea.
